Hand cannons needing nerfed?
I think that only thorn should be nerfed by less DoT
Edot: I'm glad most people agree with me when it comes to hand cannons

The best nerf we need is to nerf everyone's seriousness. We all just need to relax and have fun. Why would anyone play a game if they didn't want to have fun?

Why not just have thorns rate of fire lowered and a higher impact so that it takes longer to kill.

Edited by Doulos2one: 5/24/2015 4:07:12 PMDoT is [b]not[/b] extra damage, it is more closely comparable to explosive rounds, in that a portion of the gun's base damage is cut out and delivered in little ticks on your health. If you remove or lessen DoT it would do even [i]more[/i] damage, because the more damage you take out of DoT, the more damage the gun earns on precision damage. Think about more than just "if we nerf DoT we won't get killed by it as much" because the argument is and will always be the aforementioned truth

1 ReplyThe DoT is roughly half the damage of a single shot. If they nerf or remove it the weapon will be broken. I use thorn a lot in pve and almost exclusively in pvp. I still get my ass kicked by better players. That's just it though they're better than I am at pvp. It's not the weapons or the game it's skill. Also red death is a solid counter to thorn just like thorn is a decent counter to shotguns. Everything has it's place you just need to find it.

It's a vicious cycle. If you absolutely have to nerf it then simply make the DOT trigger on critical hits only. Doesn't affect the 2 shot kill but prevents 3 shot body shots without hitting at least 1 crit. Boom balanced.

5 RepliesIt was buffed to increase the DOT so it obviously didn't work with less DOT. I believe is should be left alone. Nerfs ruin this game.

Thorn is the only gun in game that will kill you but allow you to seek revenge or kill another person, it's also easily countered by red deaths health regain and suros to a lesser extent.

No, I think Autos need a buff, but with shotguns basically filling their role idk.

People freak out when exotic handcannons show up, but with my titan, and a common handcannon with a steady hand, it really isn't difficult to out gun other weapons
