I purpose that Bungie starts rotating the Vanguard and Crucible gear. Many day one players were forced to delete their old Vanguard and Crucible gear because they were running out of vault space. So if Bungie starts rotating the vendor gear, old favorites like; The Devil You Know, Shadow Price, The Swarm, Zombie Apocalypse, etc... can make a return. This will give day one players a chance to get back their old favorites and the new players will be able to experience these weapons. Not only does this benefit both old and new players, but it also gives Destiny's loot table more variety. I still don't understand why Bungie would want to limit the loot table in the first place, but with the release of House of Wolves and the new Ascend mechanic I think Bungie needs to consider rotating the vendor gear. Thoughts?
Should Bungie consider rotating the Vanguard and Crucible gear?
EDIT: Checkawitz had an idea that I thought was awesome. What if they actually brought back the old Vanguard and Crucible gear and updated it to allow us to reforge it?
EDIT: Also the way the rotation would work is every weekly reset the vendor gear would rotate giving players and entire week to try to grab whatever gear they want.
EDIT: Just to clear things up. If the old gear returns it will be returned to the loot table. So even if the vendors aren't selling the gear you want it can also be obtain through a drop. Since there is a mark cap most people will only be able to by 2 weapons each weekly reset and that's if they already have 200 marks saved up. So being able to get the items through drops will somewhat remedy this problem. Armor is less of an issue since most of the armor costs 75 marks, but helmets are in the same situation as weapons are.

3 RepliesChristmas noobs don't deserve good vendor weapons.

Gunsmith should have a random rotating stock under the greens like normal mentors.

1 ReplyBUUUUUUUUUMP!!!

1 ReplyFaction vendors should also take Vanguard marks and not only crucible marks. Keeping a Vanguard vendor and Crucible vendor separate is fine but there's no good reason that faction vendors won't take both currencies.
-
4 RepliesYour last edit could be a problem given that weapons are 150 marks and the weekly cap is only 100 marks.
-
1 ReplyYes this. Also faction gear should be bought with vanguard or crucible marks!
-
2 RepliesA lot of the new weapons have similar stats to the OG vanguard weapons.
-
1 ReplyI still have my 77 Wizard. People should get to try that out, it's a beast in Crucible once you get the timing down. It would add more variety to gear and weapons as well. And really make your choices matter.

1 ReplyEdited by Wolfy: 5/11/2015 6:52:15 AMIf they do that plus a weekly reroll on the perks of said guns that'd be legit

1 ReplyI'm upset because I've deleted all my old VoG gear because it became irreverent. But now it's not seemingly unfair?
-
1 Replythat would be great if they rotated all the gear, the g2 and g3 guns are fun but nothing would make me happier than to run around with the same guns I used when learning what desinty is! Also increasing the loot pool would be a way to increase the life span of the grindy parts of the game, so there's that too.

2 RepliesThe gears shouldn't rotated. They should stay after an expansion, this is not a refresh
-
3 RepliesIt seems like a good idea. I'm disappointed in the fact it seems that vendors like the vanguard and crucible are only selling half the amount of weapons they used to sell. The vanguard doesntnhave a hand cannon or rocket launcher??? WTF??? Only one model of ARs, SRs, PRs, Snipers and heavy MGs?
-
7 Replieswhy? you don't even know what kind of guns and stats you will be able to get on new DLC guns? the only Legendaries that REALLY need to be kept on par are the Raid weapons, especially VoG ones - some of THE best guns in the game and the drop rates are awful

1 ReplyYes! Please! I miss my old stuff :(

I think they should leave it alone. But to help out people who are only good for shooting thrall's and vandals, they should move to a one mark system.
