How to properly use the Skull of Dire Ahamkara
Hello my fellow guardians. Today I will be showing the full potential of the Skull of Dire Ahamkara, or 'Skull' for short. Xur is selling this Warlock Helm today, so you may want to pick it up. if you said to yourself: "Phssh, im not going to buy that piece of crap". You may want to read this post and reconsider that decision. Now we begin.
The first perk for the Skull is 'Energy Projection', which allows you to throw your grenades farther. This is a pretty decent perk, and it's true purpose will be revealed to you shortly.
The second perk, 'Quintessence Transfer', gives you super energy from killing enemies with grenades. A good perk to have. Again, this will all make more sense when we get to the main perk.
The main perk, 'Delusions of Grandeur' increases the time Energy Drain is active from 5 seconds, to 8 seconds. Use this with Embrace The Void and you will then have a +8 second long energy drain that triggers whenever you use an ability. As we (hopefully) all know, Energy Drain reduces the cool down of our grenade. The other perks on this helm create a loop.
If you use Soul Rip, Your melee now charges your grenade and super, your grenade also charges your super, and your super charges your grenade. This reduces the cooldown of all your abilities by a significant amount.
Note: Delusions of Grandeur [b]do not[/b] stack with The Hunger, so Annihilate or Angry Magic is recommended.

Skull is great and probably the best pvp void exotic. Tough call between the skull and claws though

#1. Put Skull on. #2. Dismantle every other helm in your inventory. #3. Bash Skull into wall. Repeat until "Guardian down!" #4. ??????????? #5. Profit.

It's a B Tier exotic for warlock's it has it's uses. Personally I switched to it when I have my super in PVP. To me I see it as the Helm of inmost light but for warlock's.

6 RepliesIt also makes an excellent bubble smasher (lol, sounds like less than it is) with the protection you can jump into a Titans bubble no matter the population and complete destroy its inhabitants with no worry

Think i tried this on pve, and came to conclusion it aint nearly as good as obsidian mind. But since obsidian aint that effective in pvp..., should try this out. Usually i do use void fang thou, but when u dont die u would like to have skull on :D

1 ReplySweet thanks for this. I'm slowly leveling up a second character, a lock, and was looking long and hard at this. I don't even have the first class fully unlocked though so this helped. I bought obsidian with my hunter months ago, and will probably level that up first, then move on to this one. Thanks again dude.

1 ReplyPretty complicated. Why not just use void fang and always have a grenade when you die. Not to mention regular helms can have inverse shadow which allows any kill (cept pvp) to cool your super. Which in turn allows for nova bomb to have anhilate and bloom which allows for larger area of destruction. You can just skip the complicated mess also by using obsidian mind and just get super for every 6 enemies killed with nova bomb
