Why do people pronounce Phogoth wrong...
It is not [b][u]FOE-GOTH[/u][/b] people! It's [b][u]FUH-GOTH[/u][/b]. PHO is pronounced FUH! Get it right, git gewd.

(looks like steam coming off it. So, no, it is indeed pronounced just like photograph, phone. The rule is even the same: O-consonant -vowel makes a long O sound.
