Thorn's TIME TO KILL is 3x faster than normal hand cannon that requires skill.

No Land Beyond is what we need to worry about. It's an INSTANT KILL in PvP. It's TTK is 0.00! Nerf it Bungi pls!

It's very hard to get that time to kill in re PvP. Very rarely does this happen to me. Anyways, exotics should have the edge over legends ties anyway. And you know the dot kills you not the headshots so it can't be .36 seconds.

9 RepliesGlad to see someone else has found that fantastic spreadsheet. It really shows how unbalanced some of the weapons are. My idea for a thorn nerf would be to remove damage boosting barrels along with 1 tick of the DoT. This would still leave it with a similar TTK to word of crota but have the same hit combo as fatebringer. One headshot and two body shots.

Ok m8, cool. At one point it was the worst exotic ever, now it's the best and needs nerfing? Too bad. It's also got DoT, and deals high damage on its own.

I noticed this chart doesn't have the 1 shot kill from hawkmoon on it. Rare, but that would change it to .1 seconds. Seems to be the winner to me.

2 RepliesIt's the best Handcannon in the game. It's that simple. However I have to say that having a definite "time to kill" for a weapon is ridiculous. Since there are factors such as armor, class, player skill, precision shots, and player health that come into effect that can skew these stats. Thorn takes less skill than normal hand cannons? No not really, what separates thorn from regular hand cannons is the MotD perk. I don't know what you are trying to accomplish with this post, but bringing these stats into the argument doesn't help. It takes thorn 2 heads plus poison to kill or 4 body shots or 2 headshots and a body shot or 3 head shots. If you're relying on the poison to kill your enemies, then the last word is better. The poison doesn't tick fast enough to make the thorn kill 3x faster than other hand cannons. Hawkmoon kills faster, 1 headshot and 1 lucky bullet which procs around 70% of the time. Even if statics shows thorn killing you a split second faster, no one will notice because of bungies shitty servers.

Go back in your hole and cry because you obviously can't strafe for shit. You [b]can[/b] kill people in 2 bursts with a Red Death, but it is unlikely. And having a .36 second kill time isn't entirely accurate either. Yes the Thorn is powerful. But so was the Mythoclast and SUROS Regime. If you want to say Thorn is OP in PVP and "Only nerf it in PvP!" Than Gjallarhorn is only op in PVE so nerf it in PvE. That is your logic. No. Stop and get out.
