For ease of swapping weapons in the heat of battle make it an options for Guardians to use voice commands. Example: To swap a Mythoclast for the Oversoul in the primary slot say.. Primary Weapon switch to Oversoul or just say the weapons slot and what weapon you want...Primary Weapon Oversoul. If the Guardian has an exotic weapon in the primary (Hawkmoon) and wants to use a secondary Exotic (Icebreaker). Guardian would say secondary Icebreaker. A message would appear in the upper right hand corner notifying them they have to switch to a legendary in the primary slot to equip the IB. At this time a list of what weapons are available for use in the primary slot and voice recognition would allow the player to swap both primary and secondary weapons at the same time and not leave the game screen in the heat of battle.
