Like, holy hell, this guy got the game after you so he's automatically a piece of shit? If you can explain that with a solid argument, you get a cookie.

Because some try to boss you around once they've completed one raid on normal and they die All the time, also when they squeak my ears bleed
-
2 RepliesI bought it on Xmas and I'm a 32 .-.
-
2 RepliesI love Christmas noobs, I mean free kills right?
-
3 RepliesI bought it in October, I don't know what the hell I am.

I don't hate them, but what I hate is they ask you for help, then don't listen to you. If you want my help, do what I ask you to do. If you think you have the right strategy, or know how to do it better, great, good for you, but you don't need my help then.

3 RepliesI don't hate Christmas noobs, but I do highly dislike them when they get something really good that I don't have...
hard light, Gjallarhorn, thunderlord, etc
For instance, on Wednesday I did the normal VoG with my level 25 Christmas noob friend. We had gone through the raid a few times together but he always had to get off before we could beat Atheon. This time though, we were able to defeat him. What did I get? Another Vision of Confluence... What does he get? GJALLARHORN! Are you kidding me?! And when he gets it, guess what he says. "What is the Gajallorhorne?" Dang Christmas noob
-
I don't lols they hate me :D
-
Hate is a strong word, if anybody hates anybody over a video game their priorities are -blam!-ed up
-
I just get irritated when I take them into the vault for the first time and they act like they know everything to do now. Then at the Templar "What are these glowing square thingies?"
-
So if I bought it in November what does that make me?
-
I don't.
-
I think people feel like they have a sense of power over Christmas newcomers because they seem to get this idea that more experience equals infinite supremacy
-
Because people that hate 'noobs' are just stupid sacks of blam! Their opinion matters not!
-
-
I don't.
-
Because Destiny is full of elitst entitled virgin basement dwelling massive douche bag assholes? Where's my cookie?

2 RepliesI guess I would qualify as a 'Christmas Noob' since I bought the game in early January. Did my first raid a couple days ago (wanted to hit 30 first), but made sure to tell the team I was inexperienced so I didn't look like a fool. I always respect people's farming locations when I'm out on patrol, I will always try to go find my own if there are any occupied unless I only need 1 or 2 more. I think as long as a player is respectful, helpful or at least actively participating in events, doesn't lie about their experience, and is a decent player, I don't think it should matter when they bought the game. They probably like it just as much as you do.

You're replacement guardians who didn't live through loot cave 1&2 or Rahool's shenanigans. We've watched our friends come and go and you won't earn our respect until we know you're staying.

2 RepliesBecause they never have maxed VOG weapons when I'm doing the vault of glass and they never do enough damage to kill oracles
-
I dont. Only if they prove themselves to be stupid
-
9 RepliesBecause we can.

2 RepliesI just got finished running with a bunch of randoms through the Vault of Glass. There was only one other guy in the group I wouldn't classify as a noob. He seemed chill. He had a Gjallarhorn and his balls had dropped, so +1. Of the remaining four we had one squeaker who hardly talked and was running vanguard weapons in his primary and heavy slots. Then we had three guys from New York who were friends and, let me be clear here, none of them had a maxed weapon equipped. At all. When we got to the oracles one of them said "I've just never seen it done from up top." Red flag, either he's never done the hard raid or he gets carried by his group through it on the ground. We keep wiping due to dumb things. The best one was when we missed an oracle because even though the relic guy clearly said he couldn't get it, I was the only one hauling ass across the platform to get a good shot at it. Overall it took two and a half hours to get through it, which for their credit was amazing. But I should not be the most confident of the group going into the Gorgon's Maze when I'm playing a titan and the other 5 are all hunters. And no, guy, there's only one exotic chest in the Gorgon's Maze. In the end my problem with the noobs isn't that they're bad or inexperienced, it's that they're not honest with the more experienced players who could help them out, and a lot of them don't take advice or criticism well. It's not my first rodeo, but it's okay if it's yours.

Edited by Sour Diesel: 2/17/2015 2:40:55 AMI don't mind them. Except when I'm farming kills for a bounty of some sort on patrol and they come stand there blocking the spawn. And a lot of them think fusion rifles should be treated like a primary in crucible. I tea bag them to try and break that habit.
