...what's your first impression?
Mine is usually...
"Nice. They've got their PvE Uniforms on.
Looks like we just won another game, guys."
I can't imagine how confused they must be when they're getting dominated by a level 26/28 (Sometimes I like to wear the PS-Exclusive armor) with a blue scout rifle and the first sniper rifle you get in the game (Stalker BNGL & Calcutta FTW)
Edit: You remember the Halo 3 days?
32 Gear is the Katana of Destiny.
"He thinks he's so much better, because...
He has what most people already have."
I see 32s the way this vid portrays Katana owners:

Edit 2: +420 Tears
Edit 3: So many shots getting fired, and not just at me. This has turned into a full-blown battle royale between PvE and PvP players. That wasn't my intent, and this isn't a troll post, but...
Round One: Fight!
Edit 4: Why is this post still alive? Do people get their petticoats ruffled and jimmies rustled by such insignificant nonsense?
Also, despite the truth staring right at them in the face when they visit my profile, a large number of people seem to believe that I'm a level 20 Hunter with nothing but white weapons...
I might just roll with that, actually.
Edit 5: Let me check the status of the PvE Warriors in here...

Edited by Lucius Aelius: 2/9/2015 10:27:57 AMBeing a 32 at most means they're experienced and that's not nothing, but since some/many PvE players don't play much PvP it could either mean a lot or less than nothing that a person is 32. I'm always happier to have a team of all 32's than anything else but I'd be lying if I said I thought it was a guarantee for success, I've seen level 12's kick ass in the Crucible too many times for me to give too much stock in anyone's rank, but 32's stand a better chance of being experienced and capable (and well-equipped) on average than lower level players so an all-32 team stands a better chance at being those things than an all 26-28 team. And I also don't change my armor from PvE to PvP, the Raid Armor has better stats/perks on it anyway, so I'm always 32 when I play PvP (and I'm almost always on the top of the scoreboard), but then I play a lot of PvP (more than PvE), all I ever do in PvE anymore is run the Hard Raid(s) and the Weeklies. The thing that really scares me is groups of people in a Fireteam, when I see that I don't care about what level they are, I get worried (nothing is worse than a team of people coordinating their efforts, it can easily result in a team of worse players beating a team of supposedly better ones, and Randoms never talk in PvP so we're almost always -blam!-ed if the team that's working together is any good). And even groups of two or three are worth noting, I'm always glad if they're on my team and worried if they're not.

"i guess he forgot his hand cannon/auto rifle loader gloves"
-
My first impression is: "he/she mustve held the flag." And then i see another 32 in the same team and i go "wtf held it then!?"
-
Just means I don't keep junk armour to change to for pvp
-
I read edit 3 like normal until the end, at that part i read it in the mortal kombat narrator voice.. Im staying out of this, and i wouldnt have much to say anyway since i have plenty of good games while playing as a 32 in crucible. :)
-
Edited by Stealthy: 2/9/2015 9:12:16 AMI do not change my armor when i play pvp ... Because from my experience armor stats (faster reload etc.) are not game-breaking. Raid armor also has the stat for faster reload with special weapons which is ok. I do not use one weapon type like autorifles the whole time so i would have to carry an armour piece for every weapon type. I won't do that ;) If there was pvp armour with resilience like in wow (or something alike) i would grind it as fast as possible.

2 RepliesI have raid gear with stats i like so i use it. I also like holding the flag at the beginning :)
-
1 ReplyYoure an idiot for making this post.
-
Doesn't bother me at all, actually those players are more often to be scrubs lol I'll do good with a level 2 , just look at my new warlock he's now level 10 just from playing pvp
-
6 Repliesthere is playstation exclusive armor?
-
Legendary armor almost doesnt matter, you can get faster reload, more ammo. NO BIG DEAL. Only exotic pieces matters and its more about weapons/builds than armor.
-
My raid gear has the stats I want, more ammo and reload on the weapon types I use, and a spread off stats that I am happy with... Why waste time and armour slots swapping? Plus blues wouldn't survive long in my inventory. People talk about crutches in pvp. You enjoy yours. ;)

Edited by GouldBerg988: 2/9/2015 8:37:37 AMAgreed. In normal Crucible Raidarmor has the most useless perks. 32 that don`t realize that or are have to feel important usually end up as bottomfeeder. In 90% of all cases L31 that could be 32s but choose not to, because of better Perks tailored to their playstyle are the ones to be concerned about. IB is -of ourse- a special case.
-
Dude when I see you I laugh and blow your add back to weak vanguard
-
1 ReplyNo raid gear and talking like you know something. Level 30s from VOG and 32s from Crota laugh at this post.
-
Round One: Fight!
This lol
-
Katana? No, recon was where it was at.
-
Or I wear mine cause my str is 100%?
-
I do just fine in Crucible with my lvl 32 Armor so i dont feel like taking the time to get a second set of Armor.
-
1 ReplyI wear 32 gear in PvP and dominate. Skill >
-
5 RepliesFirst of all you're talking as if you're a PVP god, and your stats are nothing special. But I do agree with your points. Wearing raid gear in regular crucible does nothing for you. I need my increased reload speed for hand cannons, and carry more ammo for hand cannons, and increased melee attack speed perks.
-
To optimize your build, one should wear gauntlets for their primary weapon. I have gauntlets for HC, scout, and pulse rifles that I rotate depending on what guns I wanna use.
unless your a fusion/shotgun primary weapon guy
That being said, the raid gear offers a shitload of int/discipline.
-
I dominate with thirty two gear. My warlock also has increased melee speed raid gear and grenades power super so that helps for pvp
-
5 RepliesAll i have is 32 gear. When i wear it in pvp its because its all i got. I dont wear the glowhoo though, that would be. Showing off. I do pretty good in pvp so its nothing i'm worried about
-
1 ReplyMost 32s will be running with a Vex thinking they are cool, but have next to zero skill and let the weapon do all the work.
