They're not putting match making in for raids. Stop making these threads. Beating a dead horse. The only people who want MM are the ones too stupid or too terrible to use LFG. I Have 120 Crota kills from LFG. There are no excuses.

  • The only people who leave a comment like this are people too stupid to read the actual post. Please, at least read the edit of the OP. There's no reason why they shouldn't put it in at least for future installments like Destiny 2. I don't understand the mentality of "They won't do it because they said they won't so stop beating a dead horse." That does not give me a good reason why not to include anything. Why does the community blindly accept this? Every other game is capable of giving me the tools to play the game like they want me to play it. Why can't Destiny? Why can't people see the no addition of any form to easily get with people who want to raid as a mistake rather than a stroke of genius? I just don't understand this mentality.

We blindly accept it because it's working and it's been working since September. There are enough bugs in the game as it is. What disaster do you think would ensue if they tried to add this feature into the game after they just openly expressed the difficulties of fixing a small heavy ammo bug where we lose ammo on death etc.

  • How is it working when only 17% of all Destiny players have finished a raid? Why less than a fifth of all the population have finished the raid? Thousands out of millions have completed the raid. This should be eye opening. I'm not saying it should be easy. People give feedback not because it's easy to do and program into the game but because it'll make the game better. This would not make the game worse, but better. For all 3.2 million players that play the game each day.

  • Because the other 83% haven't cared enough to raid. If they did they would be part of that 17+%. That 17% shows raiding is possible. With that many millions of people playing you can't just automatically assume every single one wants to raid or is capable of doing so. I started at launch playing Destiny with like 7 of my friends. There are 2 of us left... the only two that cared to raid. It wasn't matchmaking that stopped them. It was lack of interest. They were all big Halo guys and they bought Destiny purely for crucible and that was as far as their interested ever ventured. I assume there are millions more just like them. I'd also be interested in seeing your source for the 17% completion rate.

  • Just to chime in, I've done VoG once. Just once. Would I like to do more? Sure. Why don't I? I don't have the hour and a half that it took getting everyone in game, right characters, right loadouts, etc. Just to start the raid. This was with people who knew each other, by the way, not randoms. I can't imagine the "dedication" it would take to post to lfg, wait for replies, get vetted out as good enough, arrange a time, blah blah blah. This is NOT dedication, it is a waste of valuable time. Gaming is a hobby for me, not a job. It shouldn't be as complicated as one. I do find it interesting how many people on these forums use the tired, self centered excuse "works for me, so there's no problem." Truly disappointing what it says about this 'community.'

  • Honestly from the points you made you're just doing LFG wrong. I just had thirty minutes of free time. Hopped in and killed Crota 3 separate times as a Sherpa in those 30 minutes. You're over thinking the complexity of the raid. And underutilizing the functionality of the LFG website.

The source is the trophy rarity as you can see in the picture I posted. Given, this is simply for the PlayStation side of things, but I have no reason to believe PlayStation gamers are bigger Destiny raiders than Xbox or vice versa but the percent should still be homogenous across the board. How do you know if they've cared enough to raid? There are people who simply play the games. They just turn on the game and play it, and some of those people actually enjoy the game as much as you and I, the only difference is that they just don't follow the game as closely. They won't be getting on the forums and that's why you don't hear about them. But they won't be playing the raid either because they may as well never even heard of LFG or the forums. Heck they may even have a Windows Phone and not even have the Destiny app. The point is that the game shouldn't be making you jump through hoops to play it I don't care how unique the game is. As someone has mentioned I do agree that this is just kind of a prototype (some may say its a beta) and that they are improving thorough the process of iteration. It very well may not come in this Destiny, but there is absolutely no reason to not have it in the next Destiny. The very best part of Destiny should not make you jump through any hoops to reach it. If your friends tried the raid, they might be more interested, and maybe get the next Destiny. So its in Bungie's interest too because they can catch players who would have skipped otherwise.
