How do you counter Vex Mythoclast in Crucible?
Title says it all. I was playing some Crucible last night and ran into a fireteam of 3 or 4 Vex users. Needless to say, many tears were collected.

It all depends on how you approach situations. When playing control/clash you're going to get garbage teammates and you're going to lose. But the vex is not so overpowered to the point it can't lose gunfights. If you only want to play destiny I recommend going into rumble and improving your individual skill. However, getting on a game like halo once you're done with your bounties and whatnot is a good idea. Halo requires substantially more gun skill than destiny. Trust when I say an above average player in halo can wipe the floor with the stupid destiny kids that populate the crucible. But I'm not going to stop at that statement because I feel as if you may need additional tips: 1: for starters - heavy ammo spawns every 2 min give or take. Keep a look at the time left in the game. 2: don't over extend - meaning don't apply pressure where it is not needed. (Remember your bounties are important but if you're not playing effectively then you will not win. You don't win 95% of the time you won't make significant progress on your bounties.) 3: if need be - pre aim an area of expected enemy pressure. Use a sniper or your primary and light up those that come through. 4: no when to run - destiny has a way of making everyone seem unstoppable. Try and assume that everyone on the other team is good. When you see two people, if you can't drop one quick then just back away and wait for a better opportunity. 5: and finally - a good player is one that can win gunfights and rarely misses. A great player has those qualities yet thinks ahead. You can only become a great player with practice but try doing something like saving your super for when heavy ammo comes up. You can either rush the enemy's side heavy ammo spawn and attempt to steal it or kill an opponent who attempts to take your team's. In doing so secures heavy for your team. (Remember 3-6 players with rockets/machine gun ammo is better than 1) Hope this helps. #believe #neverforget #MLG50

You can usually hear a mythoclast user before you see them. The gun has no third eye, so sneak up from behind and kill them fast.

Range if someone is using a vex u back off stay away from mid and close range fights he will win every time more than likely the farther away u are the less chance he's gonna hit u

Any fusion will destroy it close range, with one solid shot. Mid range will be hand cannons. Long range, SUROS/Vanquisher/Shadow Price/Hawkmoon.

Any tier 1 gun. Vex blows.

Thorn Last Word SUROS Regime Any sniper rifle or shotgun Mythoclast is not very effective beyond mid range. Either outrange it or use superior close-quarters firepower.

15 RepliesIf there's more than 2 I use my vex but anything lowwr thorn d: 2-3 shots amd they are done. Sadly its all lvl 30+ guardians who use the vex.. probably why higher levels are seen as jerks and what not. To all you 32s who use the vex... use a gun that takes skill if you're 32 you have no business using it and then acting like you are all that and a bag of chips. .

Use a gun you enjoy and works for you.. Most of all, don't suck, vex has the same kill time as a lot of weapons, use the last word to shít on people.

Well I use the vex a lot and I can say that if you distance yourself from me I'm screwed but get up close and I'll melt you everytime or we'll trade. Distance my friend, distance.

It depends on the person using it...I'm an old halo br 4 shotter so my accuracy is good. I keep mid range so I rarely loose gun fights...it's about situation. I also use axion bolt for you runners
