Toland DLC

Through out my time on Destiny Toland the Shattered has fascinated me and I believe he needs more of a story. I believe since no one knows what has happened to Toland there should be a DLC where we must hunt him down. There will be cut scenes and everything. Mission 1: You arrive in the tower to see Eris going berserk (in cutscenes form) and she's yelling "It's Toland! He's calling to us!" The speaker calms her down and says "go to these coordinates and see if it's him" You arrive on Venus and go to the coordinates. Fighting through vex until you get to his last known location. Then you arrive to see the Exo Stranger. A short conversation follows. Guardian: It's you, what are you doing here? Exo: I'm here for the same reason as you. Guardian: So you heard Toland too? Exo: Yes. We must find him. Guardian: Why? Exo: He knows things. Guardian: What do you mean? Exo: I'm not sure but it's an emergency broadcast that's been going on for months and we MUST figure out what he's found out and how he got out of the Hellmouth. Guardian: The Speaker must hear this. Mission ends. This will introduce the companion mechanic. This will allow you to replace your ghost with an NPC that will help you but will not carry you through a mission. In this case the exo stranger. The next 2 missions take place on Mars and the moon and are following 2 more sets coordinates to find Toland, nothing too important, but the story behind them won't be paper thin. Strike: Your companion will be disabled for this mission. You have found a definite transmission from Toland and must infiltrate a fallen compound to find him. You fight a group of 3 devil walkers and an Arkon priest and arrive at the end just in time to see the Warlock Toland be lifted off in a fallen ship. Raid: You are told by the speaker that not all is lost. A scout team has spotted the ship he was on go to the home of the leader of the most powerful fallen house of all. This will be called the house of gods. The first challenge is the dreg swarm. You must fight literally thousands of spawned dregs and last for 6 minutes while dinklebot (who is required for this raid) opens the door into the building. Immediately inside you grab Toland and you carry him the rest of the way out. But there's a twist. The whole way out is flooded with 2,000 dregs, 1,000 vandals, 500 sniper vandals, 59 captains, 3 Arkon priests and a devil walker. I forgot to mention that only 5 guardians will be fighting because 1 of you must carry Toland. All enemies are in moderation of course. Eventually when you get back to your ship you sit Toland down and the Exo Stranger walks in as well (she's been protecting the ships). The conversation is as follows. Guardian: Well here he is. Exo: So what's your message Toland? What's so important? Toland: It's him... I-I've found... I've found Kabr. He's still alive. DLC ends and this is the tie-in to the next one. Which of course is a vex DLC because Kabr got lost in VoG. So it'll be a bit of a remix. What do you guardians think? I personally love the idea. If a Bungie member is reading this feel free to toss what you think below too. I'd love to hear from one of you guys. Happy hunting guardians. Edit: Thanks for all the feedback guys. Edit 2: I know that most believe Kabr and Toland are dead but I have found nothing that says they're dead all I've really found is that they're missing. Toland hiding and Kabr consumed by the wonders of the vault. Edit 3: Aaaaaaaaaannnnndddd we are officially trending! Keep it up guardians! Edit 4: I am planning on making another DLC soon. If you like this one make sure you keep tabs on #Destiny to see more. I'll post a poll to see what you guys want me to do next. Edit 5: Now we're cooking. Not only are you guardians complimenting the idea but you're starting to build upon it. Also, there are a lot of comments so I apologize if I don't reply.

  • Good story development :) but based off of the information we know of Toland he never really comes into contact with the fallen often. His entire life revolves around being banished to the Moon due to his deep understanding of the Hive. Also, in my personal opinion Toland has no use for the Fallen and the Fallen have no use for him so they'd probably make him a trophy over the fire place haha! But good job! And if you want to bring Kabr into it, just remember if anyone ever hears of Kabr again, it is not Kabr they hear from.
