Heaven is not guaranteed. How can you guarantee something no one living has ever seen?

That is the point. Christianity guarantees it. Yet there is no evidence for its existence.

They literally fear being finite more than anything. They refuse to accept the fact that when they die, every thing is over. It's also an easy way for them to take no responsibility; "Oh, well it's bad that it happened, and I could do better to avoid it next time, but it's God's will." or the fact they actually don't have to be upstanding to go to heaven all they have to do is confess to a priest and wow! I'm no longer a sinner! I could have a lot more respect to them if they dedicated their whole life to being good, and avoiding sin. But a simple confession to be cleansed is a joke.

Catholicism =/= whole of Christianity. Why argue something you obviously know nothing about?
-
Ikr. A lot of Christians are lying to themselves in the poll.

They just can't be happy with the miraculous life they were already given. Like the one in billions upon billions of chances they end up here, in this life. They should just make the best of what they can in normal life but nope, that's not enough; they can't accept the fact they're not special so they need to hide under the word of God and be promised eternality.
-
Yeah. I can see how that may comfort some people but society needs to move on.
-
Precisely.
