5 RepliesI tried like a mother-blam!-er to get it, but missed by 3 strange coins. 1,000 hours Almost 70 VoG 35 ish CE Almost 800 strikes Nightfall 3x/week for months 2 rerolled characters (5 total) No Ghorn Its WHY I only play on Tuesdays.

I didn't even know Xur existed at the time.

I bought it because I was a warlock. I believe more warlocks bought it than other 2 classes. Because all the week 1 sunbreaker chose Ghallarhorn over another pair of sunbreakers. While other classes got new gear.

Edited by BlueChimay: 2/18/2015 10:24:38 PMI was a week 1 (not quite day 1) player but didnt get up to high levels quick enough to even be aware of xur when he was selling the ghorn so i cant feel too bad about it. I do remember early on in a destiny forum reading someone criticising anyone who would use a rocket launcher rather than machine gun heavy... as if rocket launchers were just all for scrubs.... how things change. (I do prefer machine guns for most things personally)

I made that mistake, don't really regret or applaud it. Got gjallarhorn a few weeks later from nightfall. And 3 more since. So, seriously, stop giving me ghorns, I don't want them, I don't need them, and I'd sell 2 just for HOPF.

I didn't know how to get SC's and the time. Ended up finding out about Weekly Heroics when he sold the IB for the first time. Now I'm blessed with 4 Ghorns.

When I started destiny and was able to do my first nightfall the first month the game was out my reward was a gally, someone who was playing was like "oh man that's good" were I was close to deleting it I was like "what the hell? I'm not wasting my exotic slot on this weapon !!!!" But I'm glad I held onto it xD

I felt stupid because I didn't know about Xur or wtf the strange coins were for until like 4-6 weeks into the game, so missed all of the best stuff. I don't feel as stupid for it anymore though, because just last week I read a post/comment on here where someone claimed: "My buddy has been playing since day 1, didn't know about Xur at all until this week" I'm not sure how you can go from Sept to mid-Feb without ever noticing Xur, but sucks to be him for sure.

Me and my girlfriend saw it, she bought armour thinking it would be more useful, which is what i was thinking as well (thought it is just a rocket launcher that tracks, there will be more). But i looked at the stats and at its design and was like, man it is so cool and looks fun to use, so me being a guy gave into my desire for the cool looking weapon that makes things explode, and man am i happy i listened to my inner boy ("get it i want to blow stuff up and then watch mini missiles blow more stuff up, do it, MINI MISSILES!!!!!"). What a good choice.

I bought the Lucky Raspberry instead. After skipping it the previous weak to buy the IB iirc. My reasoning was that it was nothing special. I had a rocket with tracking and I thought that the wolfpack rounds were nothing special to tie up an exotic slot. I barely played Destiny the first week though. I was on my 360 playing Assassins Creed and Fifa.
