Did you go out any buy your own lawnmower when you Dad asked you to mow the lawn? Your neighbor, the one with no children, thinks you and your Dad are cheating because you both mow it now.

This makes no sense. The lawn is family property and a reflection of our household as it's connected to our house. My avatar is a direct representation of a single individual, not a collective

and the lawn is presumably your father's as he paid for it not you, perhaps it's half owned by your mother too. But it still represents a job where in one location the job is being done by one person and in another it's being done by 2 people, but regardless of whose lawn looks best, one lawn does not affect the other.
