Revised: Those who cheese Crota have ZERO skill
It's becoming harder and harder to find a decent group with MODERATE skill to beat Crota without cheesing. The common response: "It's easier", "It's faster", "We have a two level 30s"...WTF Is wrong with you?
I challenge you(Do you guys even LIKE a challenge???) that I will beat crota with two level 30s and myself carrying the sword...With ANY of my characters as 31, I wont even use my level 32 hunter, BEFORE you can cheese him..

If, you have Crota special or heavy weapon during the Hard raid once its released, and you DONT know what is going on, you will be booted you pathetic scrubs...

What system? I'm guilty of the cheese but I will do it legit and impress you in the process. I only have a 32 Hunter, I'll even drop my gear to be 31 and run the sword. Gt Hoshinator on Xbox one. Add me and hopefully this weekend. Unfortunately have a wake and funeral to attend today and tomorrow. Hope you get at me.

It is becoming harder i agree. even my friends want to cheese him now although we have beaten him normally. they say "hey we will use this until they fix it like atheon". it sucks because i really want more practice doing it the right way for the hard raid. majority rules when it comes to things like this and i don't want to not play the raid just because no one wants to do it right.

I've done the CE raid once and completed it legit. It wasn't that difficult. We did have all lvl31's and 2 lvl32's so I guess that made it easier. Hardest part was the death singer and we beat her 2nd attempt. We were all randoms from this app too. Its not that hard.

It's more about speed when u have 3 DIFFERENT characters it's just easier I no IT WILL GET PATCH I beaten it legit..... so much easier when u have wife and kids...just enjoying the free food nah mean son lol....

I cant find a good team to do it with. I have one and we always do it legit but they have no patience and they quit too fast. They only give crota about 5 tries then they leave. I tried doing it with them and i wasnt able to complete a raid for 3 weeks. I finally started cheesing and although it is easy it does take out the fun and teamwork part of the game.

3 RepliesI've yet to "cheese" aka cheat my way to finish the raid. My team did it on the release date and have been doing it legit ever since. Truly hate all the idiots that glitch their way, its super easy and quick. Ive got video proof of us doing it legit in under 26 mins if you think its hard you are wrong

I did the entire raid blind the night it came out. No guides, no nothing. After that, why the -blam!- would I do it legit anymore? After experiencing it once as new, it then becomes a means of obtaining items, which I want to do faster rather than slower.

Only did the moon raid once with a bunch of people who have done it many times, so I am not sure about what the hell this is about. What it sounds like is someone getting really frustrated about something entirely stupid that really doesn't mean shit at the end of the day. Either that or bitching about an actual strategy.

Have beaten crota legit on both classes. Took me 1 hour the first and 2 hours the second. The second time my raid group had NO IDEA what they were doing because of cheese. Cheese if you want but please complete the actual raid AT LEAST one time so you will be competent after patch.

I have all raid armor and many of guns from the raid so why should I make it a challenge to get the radiant shards/energy to level up gear

Just destroyed Crota first try with two swords fir with an entire group of randoms. There's still some good players out there.

1 ReplyI do agree most people seem to want to cheese Crota. I think that's partly because everyone knows it will be patched soon. Also because he glitches quite a lot and a glitch almost always causes a wipe given the mechanics of the fight. After 5 or 6 glitches in a session i can understand people taking a break and coming back to it later just wanting to get it done. I also think that by the time those groups have messed around handing over host etc they could have beaten him legit. It's a funny fight. With a good group from the forum, or a regular team, it's pretty straightforward. With a mediocre team of randoms I confess I have found it quite a difficult fight unless there is a L32 to hold the sword. But what challenge there is makes this a fun fight. I like the teamwork aspect of sniper team, sword bearer and rocket / shield dps team, and the fact there is almost no margin for error.
