Revised: Those who cheese Crota have ZERO skill
It's becoming harder and harder to find a decent group with MODERATE skill to beat Crota without cheesing. The common response: "It's easier", "It's faster", "We have a two level 30s"...WTF Is wrong with you?
I challenge you(Do you guys even LIKE a challenge???) that I will beat crota with two level 30s and myself carrying the sword...With ANY of my characters as 31, I wont even use my level 32 hunter, BEFORE you can cheese him..

Like many others have said on here. I beat Crota legit multiple times. The whole raid was rather easy and lackluster imo. So if i can quickly get it over with I'm going to do it. If 2 of my buddies are cheesing crota sure I'll hope on for some quick easy loot. If MY full raid team is on, sure I'll bitch slap crota for some quick easy loot. If randoms want to beat crota? -blam!- that I don't trust randoms. Also if the person leaving the game already has their drops and doesn't have to log back in cheesing him IS much, MUCH faster. Unless of course you can take crota down with one sword run ;)

It [i]is[/i] faster, unless you have a dedicated group or a 32. And I'll cheese without shame on my 28 for weapon drops. But the deathsinger is considered the hardest part of the raid right now. Think about that for a second. The most difficult section in the raid earned its title by simply not having an exploit. I'll gladly run Crota legit as my main, or even my alt warlock. But I think the beginning and the bridge sections are just as much fun without cheering them.

5 RepliesI will go as far to say that glitching Crota is neither easier nor faster than doing him the normal way. I dread that moment when the leader of the group I'm in abruptly announces they are glitching Crota, the moment after we just killed death singer. Then begins the long process of everyone dropping group, sharing checkpoints, rejoining group, rezzing, getting Crota down an the guy unplugging at JUST the right moment, and then waiting for him to reconnect, and rejoin the group and zone in. Then guess what! By that time ogres have spawned and we have to kill them. Then we usually have to kill two swordbearers anyway to kill Crota. GUESS WHAT. The argument that glitching him is faster is invalid. The reason that people glitch the boss is because they do not wan to go through the trouble of learning the fight in the first place.

My clan is looking for people to cheese Crota tonight, I said I'd do it, don't care that much it's cheesing, never been in the raid so I won't know the difference. Cheesing vs legit, whatever is more fun is my preference. Like I said though, don't raid ever so if the people who tolerate my sometimes sketchy connection want to cheese, no arguments here. Not to say you aren't right though.

The fact is, anyone who has beaten crota legit before can cheese all they want hence fourth because theres nothing to prove at that point. And its not like the drops are any better if u dont cheese

Lamps - Cheesed Bridge - Cheesed Second Chest - easy get Deathsinger - beat it legit with us 2 Crota - Cheesed Makes it easier that we dont have to find randoms that play like shit and/or try to boss us around

Its faster to kill him legit and more exciting. Cheesing is boring. I didn't pay $110.00 to negate most of the content of this game.
