Revised: Those who cheese Crota have ZERO skill
It's becoming harder and harder to find a decent group with MODERATE skill to beat Crota without cheesing. The common response: "It's easier", "It's faster", "We have a two level 30s"...WTF Is wrong with you?
I challenge you(Do you guys even LIKE a challenge???) that I will beat crota with two level 30s and myself carrying the sword...With ANY of my characters as 31, I wont even use my level 32 hunter, BEFORE you can cheese him..

I would take up your challenge, buuuuuut, I hate cheesing. If you want to do a task designed to be hard, don't take the easy way out, either learn how to do it or don't do it at all. I remember in the VoG, i was the only one who knew how to use the relic, my team goes "lets cheese atheon" I told them if they did I would leave, the attempted to, I left the game but not the party and I'm pissing myself laughing from. "how do I cleanse?" "why can't I be unblind?" "ok, does anyone, apart from random, know how to use the relic?" followed by "nope"

You still need to be able to do crown control, otherwise it will take you just as long to cheese him as it would to do it normally.

Also out to the defenders and people that use the network bug. Hard mode was held back so they could fix all these things; supposedly. First completion I did was with six 30's. Streamed three back to back runs last night and had three 30's in some of the groups. I'm streaming Crota's End every day and will bring in viewers to teach them how to complete legit. Also bringing in experienced viewers who want to help and have fun. I play on PS4. I always run Legit and it amazes people who have only cheesed it how easy it is when you have a strategy http://www.twitch.tv/bopbarker

Yeah my biggest problem with the cheese is trying to find people on lfg to run legit. I have about 12 guys on friends list who I run with regularly and we usually have 4-6 people on whenever we want to raid. Finding another 1-2 people on lfg who know how to do it legit or are willing to not cheese is becoming a pain in the ass. Even one of my regulars wanted to cheese last night. Then we beat the raid three times in a row in 3 hours (counting the time to switch characters and find that 1st chest). He didn't complain about cheesing anymore.

I'd accept the challenge. Cheesing Crota is more difficult in my opinion, but it IS faster if done correctly the first time. You can kill Crota in one sword when cheesing, all you have to do is wait for the host to come back and down Crota. A good level 31 can down Crota in 2 swords (assuming everyone else on the team is sufficient), which most likely takes a good 30 seconds to minute more. I have cheesed Crota once to try it, and beat him legit 10+ times.

hehe, I've run into these groups. I have a group of friends that raid fairly regularly on 360, and we've finished crota 7 times without cheese at any spot. I've been in with randoms who want to cheese, and it literally does take longer than doing it cheese-less with my other group. Worst might have been last night. In with two friends and three randoms on xbone. We get to crota, and two of the randoms start talking about going back to orbit so we can figure out who is going to leave when crota goes down. One of my friends and I point out there is a 32 in the group to be the sword swinger....

Have done the raid legit up to that point but hard to find a group willing to put the work in when a cheese is available. I already cheesed him last night twice but last week I already ran with a group knowing I'd get no rewards just for the challenge and I'd def do it again.

I kinda agree with you if you cheese him and have never beat it legit. I beat crotas end legit like 8 times across the 3 diff characters the first two weeks the DLC was out. I'll go back to doing it legit once they patch it (they will eventually) If you're cheesing it, I hope you've done it legit at least 5 times

Send them home crying! Edit: My only regret is that once the exploit gets patched these same people will be joining LFG fireteams with no clue of how to do the fight. Today, one may indicate that the fight will be done legit and weed out the cheese scrubs; after the patch, the likelihood of getting a scrub in LFG will go through the roof. I'll have to do a whole lot of kicking from my fireteam because I'm not putting some glitch rat on my back and carrying him/her to a raid primary. Now bring the hate, scrubs. My body is ready.

It takes 3-4 wipes to get a team coordinated enough to drop him legit. Once your team figures out the boomers and ogres there really isn't anything too difficult about it so long as no one is an idiot and runs out without healing himself up on the chalice or with a regen perk. It's just not challenging either way you do it imo. If the knight's in the towers become yellows or they reduce the enrage timer in hard mode there may be issues, but even that will just require a few wipes to get your timing down and figure out who should be on Knight duty.

If my party wants to do it legit I can do legit easily but all the parties I find just want to get it over with.
