Ammo synths don't work on PvP. But yes, those could also be used for the PvE side sure.

Customizing would be best. Marking targets or objectives would be cool as well as synth on d pad for pve stuff. That menu takes a month if Sundays to load!

True. Any option to allows avoiding going to the menu would be nice. In PvE those buttons could very well be used to call a synth, or even a ether seed (or any glimmer extraction boost item)

Yup. Pointing and dancing is good fun but ultimately pointless. Especially on raid missions like atheon or crota. Ammo and area designation would be much better suited . Customizing that = great My red button is actually useless. Hold red would be ideal for heavy ammo. D pad can be reserved for hold -attack or something useful.
