Its not going to become this magical open world rpg you want.
Sadly Bungie said it was open world.
They also said each planet was larger than the entirety of Halo: Reach.
They also said... you know what? It's easier to list what they didn't lie about.
... um, give me a few years to think about that one...

They were forced by activision to abandon that vision to maintain full support for x360 and ps3. That's why each zone is no larger than that first strike in halo reach.
-
You do realize this game was built on the 360 and Xbox One. The version shown at E3 was that version. It was only ported to PS3/4 in the last 9 months of dev time.
-
LOL!! Winner
-
Exactly my point, yet you are one of those who still cling to that dream... Romantic, but unrealistic.
-
Yes, silly consumers expecting the product they were promised.
-
do you get the tasty looking burger on the fast food ads or the movie of the year on every awesome looking trailer lol... move on
-
Only fat-ass American's eat fast food. Troll harder.
-
There's actually a perfectly fit man who only eats big macs lmao
-
clearly you have more important issues to deal with, sorry destiny couldn't help you escape your misfortune. anyway, see you later hater.
-
After three months you are still expecting that product?
-
Yes, I do. Either the product or a refund and they refuse to issue refunds.
-
They're bigger than reach combined but honestly considering you could use forge world and do whatever you want, create whatever you want, and DO whatever you want it was basically endless. That's one thing bungie never really promised, that this game was endless.
-
No planet in this game is bigger than even the third level of Reach...
-
Just about as big, but did you even read the end of my post? I know halo reach is bigger of course but there's also a difference between a direct direction and an explorable area
-
Yeah and Halo: Reach has it beat on both fronts.
-
Somewhat on the whole exploration thing but not entirely, you can't really backtrack to a point where you can explore everything again without restarting the mission and that's the only other way to have enemies spawn again. But I do love halo reach for sure
-
Enemies spawning has nothing to do with physical size. Hell man Halo: CE had levels much larger than even Mars which is probably the biggest planet.
-
True true, but I'm saying the maps are close to some of the maps on reach size wise but I'm looking at a different perspective of "big" as in quality of the map. In destiny you can go back and explore with baddies while in reach you could not. But, in reach you could actually have a feel for what's going on around you
-
I'm no fan boy, believe me I know this pile of shit called destiny has flaws and it compares nothing to Halo, but it does have more of an option to explore. Sorry that my replies were in shit format, try running a kik conversation and snapchatting someone at the same time as you try to create a good reply, not easy.
-
Sigh, I'm done with this. Bungie said that each planet was bigger than all of Reach combined in physical proportions. You agree this was a straight-up lie yet still defend the company... fan boys are sickening. Muted.
-
They said every planet is bigger than Reach? Damn, that one's new to me.
-
lol halo reach 6.7 gb, destiny 40+ gb... 4 halo reaches aren't even half of destiny. there's places to explore just nothing is there so you just brush it aside.
-
Destiny on 360 is actually less than 6.7 gigs... and I'm fairly certain Reach is more than that...
-
Really now? You must not have followed this game pre-launch. It was a big hype point up until Sony bought into the game 9 months before release. Was even talked about during that 20 or so minute E3 video a few months before release.
-
I remember the bit about there not being any skyboxes, and that everything you see can be explored, but I never heard about this. I'm probably not going to pre-order Destiny 2 after all these blatant lies. Don't get me wrong, I've been enjoying the game, but I don't think we as gamers should support this behavior.
