To my knowledge of this, no one has ever died in a dream. The farthest Iv heard of is the dreamer experiencing the act, but wake up before the death occurred.
From what I remember the theory is if you die in the dream, you die. Or your subconscious cant experience death, essentially unhandled exception like a computer, and your wake up.

I've died in a dream. A person walked in and shot me in the face and everything went black and I couldn't move my body. I was still conscience inside my dead body. Fked up stuff.

Okay, but how do you explain the dozens of guys in this thread recounting how they've died in dreams? Is our subconscious somehow separating us from the person we see dying in our dream? It was exactly the theory you're talking about that caused me to make this thread... but evidently this is a fairly common experience.
