Bows, Vehicles and Other Weapon Types in Destiny
Edit:This post has become a bit of a hybrid encompassing all weapon and vehicle ideas for Destiny. Read what is here and if you have more ideas feel free to share!
Also feel free to like any ideas already here so as to further this post!
New ideas will be listed as follows and all new ideas will be credited to the person(s) I see posting about it.
New Weapon ideas:

Melee weapons - Swords, Axes, Hammers, Scythes, Spears, Maces, and Staves. Exotics could be Katanas, Bleeding Psycho axe, Flaming warhammer, scythe that turns you into the grim reaper, etc - IlIBlackoutIlI
Melee stances. Each character goes fist/knife/magic-slap only. Faster melee speed. 0.5x more damage - IlIBlackoutIlI
Load Rifle. Rifle fires more rounds the longer the charge is held. Up to three. Like a fusion rifle but longer charge and more selectable on how much ammo you use - Candain
More mounted turret variations like rocket and gauss turrets - IlIBlackoutIlI
Emission Cannon (Sentinel Beam)- Candain

New Vehicle Ideas:
Rhino. Slow moving slow firing tank with huge cannon and blast radius. Turret seat and Two side seats for passengers - IlIBlackoutIlI
Eagle. Small helicopter with dual machine guns and two side seats for passengers - IlIBlackoutIlI
Badger. Small hovering vehicle capable of an upward thrust or jump. Has a slow firing highly accurate cannon that cannot zoom but can kill with a headshot or two body shots - IlIBlackoutIlI
Boar. Mid-speed vehicle with a mounted 360° machine gun and passenger seat - IlIBlackoutIlI

We should be able to get the Torch Hammers from Vex as a heavy weapon that acts like a grenade launcher. More ammo than a rocket launcher. Less blast radius One shots only on direct impacts

Lol they are to buisy patching nerfing or buffin whatever ... No time to come up with new things , as things are i will not even buy the expansion . New types of weapons would be awesome actually i expected this from the first time i played the sword of crota mission , love to slash those princes so i was really desapointed when i discovered you couldnt own swords and dont understand why as the game engine is obviously capable and ready for it ... However this is only one of my disapointments ... All this talk about the level 30 gear and how much it drops and how to get it .. Pointless why get to level 30 ? To play the raid on hard ? Ok thats one goal but just one ... Iron banner ? Ok every few weeks ... Lol .. Matchmaking for raid ? Whyle towers are kinda full of useless spots deserted shops etc .. Why no meeting point for ppl who want to do strikes or raids or just wanna chat ? And last but not least pve content !!!! By the time dlc is out we all be bored and two weeks after it again . This been the subject of our raiding party chat for the past days , this and other options ( games) . Good luck keeping us entertained bungie .

I'd normally say "cool" to ideas about new weapons, but for some reason it's always swords and bows people are suggesting, seriously people, it's not too late to play skyrim. A splaser type weapon and a noob tube would be really nice to round out the heavy weapon category, but everyone would complain about the tube in pvp, even if it was grossly underpowered compared to rocket launchers. If I've learned anything from fps's it's that people will complain about getting killed by tubes and shotguns every time. Heck, I used to get hate mail for using the grenade launcher in Halo Reach and it was almost never a one shot kill, even if you hit them directly in the face with the grenade.

I love the ideas and the posts under the topic. Hopefully Bungie will read this and develop some of the weapons for us. I wish Bungie would let us know what they think about all that feedback we give them. They need to write or tell us what they will update/add to the game.

1 ReplyYea baby! A crossbow would be a nice edition to the arsenal. Remember the one in Crysis 3 I think? Something funky man. You could have different arrows dealing different damage effects. Nice.

They shall sing Irish and Scottish hymns as the Fallen, Vex, and Cabal charge(s) the line(s). If enemy calvary charge(s) in, the Guardians would form a square and fix bayonets. To tell you truth, I would rather have the Baker Rifle. It allowed for modern infantry tactics. Better yet ask Bungie for Acheulean spear points. We can all sit in the battlefield knapping flint or obsidian core for our spear and arrow heads. While you are at it ask for atlatls as well.
