Easiest way to get ascendant material:
If you are a Titan:
Step1-create 2 more titans.
Step2-get them to lvl20
Step3-run daily on lvl28 (2 ascendent materials)
Step4-run 1 event (1 ascendant material)
Step5-put all your gear in the bank
Step6-change characters
Step7-get all the gear out of the bank
Step8-do steps 3-7 again
You will have 9 ascendent materials a day.

That's pretty awesome! But..... I shouldn't have to create two more characters just to farm for my original character. Great strategy though! Kudos!

Yeah, it's just the easiest way I've found so far. Doing nightfall and raid get you mats also but can take a long time to complete. Doing it this way, aside from the roughly 12 hours to lvl up your guy, only takes about an hour a day for 9 mats.
