Let me take you through the steps that I have taken to attempt to resolve this issue, but failed.
1- On my Xbox 360 dashboard, I go to "Redeem Code", and proceed to enter in all the codes I received with my game. (Expansion Pass, Digital Content Pack, Red Sparrow, and Vanguard Armory.)
2- I successfully download all 4 items to my flash drive, and then copy them to my hard drive. At this point there is apx. 28 GB free on my HDD.
3- I put the Destiny disc in, and before running it, I install the disc to my HDD. After completing this, there is now 22.9 GB free on my HDD.
4- I start Destiny. There is an update, and I download it.
5- The game restarts after the update, and loads back up to the title screen where one would "PRESS 'A' TO PLAY".
6- I press "A", and the game appears as thought it's going to start. The white text in the bottom right corner on the screen appears. The text appears in the following order: "CONNECTING ", "SIGNING IN", "CHECKING FOR UPDATES", and then "VERIFYING CONTENT".
7-"VERIFYING CONTENT" stays on screen, and dose not progress any further then that. I had let it sit there for about 5 minutes to see if it just needed some time, but it still did not continue any further.
8- I restart my Xbox 360, and re-launch Destiny. I get stuck at "VERIFYING CONTENT" again, and let it sit for about 10 minutes this time. Same thing.
9- I tried searching Google, and Bungie. I did not find anything relating to my issue.
10- Even though I did not receive any kind of error message, I decided to follow the steps on Bungie's site to fix a CDN Error.
http://www.bungie.net/7_CDN-Error-Xbox-360-Users/en/Help/Article/12115
11- The only thing I did differently while following the steps for the CDN Error fix was after step 10, and before step 11. While my Xbox 360 was turned off, I restarted my router. My 360 is connected though Ethernet, by the way. I verify that my internet connection is working on my computer before turning on my 360.
12- I start up my 360, and connect to XBL with no issue.
13- I start up Destiny again. Get to the title screen, press "A", and assume that I would be asked to download an update again seeing as how I deleted the "Destiny Content 1" file off of my HDD after fallowing the instructions for fixing a CDN Error. I was not asked to dowload an update, and the game continued one 'till it got stuck at the "VERIFYING CONTENT" screen again. I let in sit for about 5 minutes before pressing the guide button on my controller, and returning to the 360 dashboard.
14- I restart my 360 again, and verify that the "Destiny Content 1" file is in fact deleted from the HDD. I check my flash drive to be sure as well. The file was not in ether place.
15- Start Destiny, and get stuck at "VERIFYING CONTENT" screen again. I have let it sit several times now for more then 10 or 15 minutes each try, and the same thing keeps happening. And now all of my friends are leveling up without me! D:
NOTE:
- Nothing else was/has been using the internet, with the exception of trying to Google the issue on my computer.
- I have NOT received any kind of error code, or message at any point during this process.
- Nothing actually "freezes". When my game is stuck at the "VERIFYING CONTENT" screen, the music continues to play, and the animation with the little lines and shapes directly above the "VERIFYING CONTENT" text keep cycling through there pattern.
- I cannot interact with anything on the screen that I keep getting stuck at. The only thing I can do is press the guide button on my controller, and go back to my Xbox 360 dashboard.
I apologize for any spelling/grammar mistakes, and I hope that this is enough information for y'all.
Any help would be appreciated, and I look forward to hearing from you all soon.

3 RepliesEdited by A Wild Quiznos: 9/13/2014 3:17:22 AMTried again today and there was a patch. It worked after the patch for me so I assume Bungie was silently working on it. Edit: Forgot to mention I also did a Memory Cache cleanup before I attempted this install. Edit: I meant Clear Memory Cache. Edit: Approximately 3 hours into playing the disk suddenly was unable to be read and the game crashed on me. Upon reattempting to play the game, I was met with my old friend Error Code Beagle. Clearing Cache again to see if it does anything new. Game crashed while doing PvP. That might be a bug. UPDATE: Clearing the Cache and re-updating makes the game playable again. For how long, we will see.

4 RepliesI HAVE A SOLUTION.. for me anyway, i would recommend trying it yourself. I had the same problem, I would choose destination hte load screen would get stuck I would dashboard, then when i opened the game again it did this "verifying content" thing that would get suck at 9% and never finish. I tried deleting cache and same thing would happen except ide get an error screen saying something like , "problem reading game content" SO my solution is go to "my games" on dashboard, go over to destiny, hit X to open details, install the game to your HD, if you don't have enough space get a flash, but i recommend getting a system with more than 4 gigs HDD. anyway after it installs which takes like an hour<--(maybe exaggeration) open the game and vwalah the content verifies, does not get stuck on 9 percent. my guess is that the processors suck so bad in these slim systems that it cannot read the huge disk and upload whatever verification update at the same time, so the system locks up. remember this game was designed for xbox one processor and dumbed down for 360. so install the game and it will need to use less processing RAM to accomplish having the game open. problem solve, back to it!!!!

2 RepliesEdited by A Wild Quiznos: 9/13/2014 3:17:59 AMYep, having the exact same problem. I probably reinstalled six times already and it always gets stuck on verifying content. First time it always got stuck at 35% but now its hovering at 64% and just freezes. I know that it's about to fail when the background image disappears. I uninstalled the Compatibility Pack twice as well but the same result. Been working on this for quite some time now. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the situation. Maybe when Bungie is back open for business hours they can figure some of this stuff out. I doubt anyone is available to help this late at night anyways. Edit: Uninstalled both the game and the Compatibility Pack; still stuck at 64%. UPDATE: Check newer post for limited success.

5 RepliesThe exact same thing has been happening to me it gets stuck on 10% during the verifying content part. It didn't freeze the console so it's got to do with the disc, going to try taking the disc back tonight, been trying to look all over the internet for news about this problem and this is the only one that has come up
