Wuuut?? I don't know about long term wear and tear. I've only had my ps4 a week or so. Bought it used. Controller seems pretty solid to me. And I'm pretty hard on my controllers. (Yes I'm guilty of rage smashing a controller here and there, I'm working on that lol) but the ps4 controller seems to be even sturdier than past controllers. The issues you listed actually sound more like the results of abuse. I'm holding a ps4 controller right now and I assure you. These triggers won't be popping off from normal use. That used to happen to my ps3 controller though... When I threw it at the wall.

I'm thinking isolated instance. There was a batch of ps3 controllers that had faulty battery's so they wouldn't charge up at all. I bought two of them in a month like the guy with the broken trigger. One at a local store and one online. Both with the same issue. But this was a small batch that got out. I've had a ps3 for at least 6 years and other than the one instance Ive never had any controller issues (that I didn't cause) I'll also note. I got my ps4 use. So, no clue how old it is but I did notice that the previous owner shared it among three active users and it only had the one controller that works great. I think if that was gonna happen it would have by now. Basically though. I wouldn't have been put off for buying the console over a hand full of faulty controllers out of the millions made. It's happens, people make mistakes here and there. Plus that white ps4 looks -blam!-ing sweet.
