What is the Official Destiny level cap?
Hello everyone I was wondering what the confirmed destiny max level will be when the game launches. Everyone is saying 20 but idk for sure so does anyone know the official max level or has it not been announced yet? Thanks!

38 Replies20 is just the start, then plan on slowly upping the cap as the year goes by, cause why would they release everything they have right away, they are just baiting us in and dam am I hooked already lol

10 RepliesBungie in their usual fashion IS NOT going to confirm or deny anything, we know from the beta however you have to be at level 20 to use legendary gear, and I don't know how to make this any more clear, NOTHING ABOUT THE LEVEL CAP HAS BEEN COMFIRMED BY BUNGIE, AND OFF TOPIC BUT NOTHIG HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY BUNGIE ABOUT THE PLAYABLE AREAS/ DESTINATIONS EITHER, pretty much all the specifics you are going to read about right now are all SPECULATION! We probably won't know anything for sure for at least a few weeks.

It'll max at 19 and 1/2... a unique idea of keeping you anticipated at finally reaching that goal of 20.

20 + You just level up by getting gear with "Light" element on it

I think it will be above 20 as far as items only going up to 20 i feel that like the crucible in the future will have matchmaking based on levels and so will the tower 1-20 20-35 and so on and when that happens the speaker the gunsmith and all the other vendors will have items made for that specific level range. In short idk the level cap but i feel it is above 20

1 ReplyIts 20 according to the speaker. He sells gear for motes of light lvls and gives a description of them and how to get them..... that was in the beta and I'm sure it won't change by release

1 ReplyIt will be like Borderlands. At launch its 20. With first DLC it'll be 25, then 30, 40, 50 and so on. Be ready to throw all your gear to garbage when new levels are added...............

5 RepliesThe level cap is 20 by gaining xp, but if you played the beta or alpha, then you know the leveling was fast, it will go by most likely half as fast, and getting from 19 to 20 will probably be a hefty task. After 20 you need motes of light which are obtained, I think, from how you would usually get xp, so like 1000 xp gives a mote of light.
