Edited by Nitemare 43: 5/28/2014 9:40:18 PMI had to get all four of mine removed. I got it taken care of before they stared causing problems. You fall asleep within 10 secs and then wake up a half hour later and all done. The first day or so you have to drain out all that saliva which is annoying. You also can't talk much and your face is swollen. You also have to use salt water as a listerine by swishing it around in your mouth and spitting out to stop infections. They'll give you a syringe that sucks food out of your recently removed teeth to stop infections. You can't really eat anything complicated for a week and they also give you pain pills. I just used advil though.

If you can get a good surgeon you will have no pain at all. Something to do is swoosh salt water in the back of your mouth which will ease pain and swelling.

-knocked out -shitty week The end.

Edited by Vicex: 5/28/2014 8:24:47 PMHurts... but I didn’t have any meds with them. The greatest pain is to your reputation when you start hitting on the assistant because you are so druged...I feel sorry for her now and again.

Don't know I have room for all of them only two down so far.

the pain is minor. don't do anything dumb and you can avoid dry socket, which is infection of the gum holes where they have to go back and re-open them and clean them then sew them shut again. dry sockets would be more painful but entirely your own fault. what sucks is that you can't chew anything with crumbs or possible debris in your mouth so it's soft and lumpy foods only diet afterwards for the rest of your life
the next 3-5 or so days after the operation are gonna suck haaaaaardcore.
.

1 ReplyThe worst part is just how annoying it is to eat.
-
The removal is just a pinch. It's the next few days that suck.
-
Getting the gas was the worst part for me. After that my mouth was numb for a day and I had trouble eating non-solid foods. Everything was normal the next day though.
-
Kinda like this
-
Go for being knocked out.. It is way more worth it
-
4 RepliesDepends if they knock you out or not. I can tell you that being awake while they take your teeth out is horrific.
-
3 RepliesI hear it's something like 14 or 15 times worse than childbirth. Cut to about half if you get knocked out, but it lasts longer afterwards that way. :^)
-
Not bad just a lot of blood.
-
Its -blam!-ing awful.
-
1 ReplyWell there's always a possibility you could die...
-
2 RepliesDon't get dry socket, and you're good.
-
I didn't even get painkillers and it was fine.
-
Not much. They usually knock you out before so you don't feel much.
-
Not very. Mine were impacted, so they had to cut them out and stitch me back up. Having those stitches in the back was actually the most annoying part. It didn't hurt. Have you ever had an annoying, stringy piece of meat or something like that stuck between your teeth? Those stitches back there felt kinda like one of those that I couldn't get out.
-
idk but they pain killers are dope as hell
-
Not bad, wasn't even put under during it. Talked to the dentist during it. Only bad part is the 1 or 2 days after. Especially when you don't have pain pills.
-
Never had wisdom teeth out but I've had a few molars pulled. Getting teeth pulled is much better than having root canals.
-
You'll be fine, especially with all that pudding you get to eat. I think they gave me too much anesthetic though because they had a hard time waking me up and I was all like "wooaaahhhh duuudddee" for the next day or two.
-
It's not so bad... ...well, unless you get a dry socket afterwards.
-
take your pain meds. dont be like me.
