I have nothing against people inking themselves. However, if you choose to have a tattoo that looks (to a short or casual glance) like you have a pistol tucked in your waistband, you should be prepared for the good AND the bad reactions that various people will have. IMO, it's just not a wise choice. It's almost as if you are trying to give people the impression that you are armed. Which again, nothing is particularly wrong with that, but if you combine that appearance with being openly confrontational and argumentative.... well, either you want to appear as if you are armed and hostile, or you should consider putting on a shirt before trying to argue/intimidate others.
Though a SWAT response? That is a bit much. All in all, there's a lot of low-level fail in this story.

Gun or no gun, why the hell did did they need an entire -blam!-ing S.W.A.T team for a single dude. Someone must have told them He was black

Well, if you get a call about a guy flipping out with a gun on him, you shouldn't take any risks.

Edited by AIDS MONKEY: 3/19/2014 8:00:06 PMWould it be a stretch to assume that he's a neo-N@zi based on his left arm?

Wow That's a poorly done tattoo
Though a SWAT response? That is a bit much.
It's kind of surprising how often SWAT teams are used. My home state is one of the worst offenders in this department, actually.

3 RepliesEdited by brandorobot: 3/19/2014 5:39:25 PMI don't know much about the gun laws in Maine but even if it was a real gun I don't understand this kind of response. Are you not allowed to have a gun on your own property?

1 ReplyLooking at some of his other tats, I am not sure that there would have ben much loss to the world had he been shot. Just sayin...

The gun is actually one of his least concerning tattoos.

The tattoo is stupid as hell, but should not matter at all. This country is turning into a police state. The government loves to harass law abiding gun owners, and treat them as if they are criminals, and then you have stupid shit like this and the kid who had a "Poptart gun".

Some people have the dumbest tastes in ink.

A tattoo of a gun? Seriously?

Evidence suggests he's a neo -godwinslaw!-. Not surprised he would be in some kind of trouble.

This is why I love creative tattoos like this.

Ah yes. Classic. You see this is why I prefer my artistic tattoos. That aside, this just goes to show how eager the US is to throw around pseudo-militial power over anything and everything.

Ban SWAT teams.

Edited by TGI Skuldier: 3/19/2014 5:09:02 PMI'd make a joke about pocket pistols and a magnum in his pants but.....yeah....

>have tons of tattoos >no guns >carry concealed >muh freedums

11 RepliesNot sure why anyone would want a tattoo like that in the first place. I guess my reaction would be (if you're just wanting to mess with people, flash your gun so to speak) to buy a shirt that, when tucked in, gives the same appearance. Not a permanent tattoo.

Ban gun tatts.
