This disgusts me. Population control is often a tragic necessity due to us screwing up the planet, but it should never be glorified in the news like this. People need to be taught about environmental awareness, not to simply keep blundering through life carelessly because any problem can be solved with guns.

Wild boars are an invasive species -blam!-ing up our ecosystem and endangering people who are active outdoors. NC, both the land, economy, and the people, would be better off if they were exterminated.

I addressed that.

No, you called it "tragic". There's nothing tragic about it. If anything, it should be celebrated. We're reversing the damage to our ecosystem that wild boars have caused.

Edited by Pendulate: 3/16/2014 9:37:17 PMNo, we're reversing the damage we caused by playing God with the biosphere and introducing animals into unnatural habitats. You don't spill milk and then expect a medal for cleaning it up.

We didn't introduce them, our ancestors did. We're solving the problem we inherited from them.

Obviously I am talking about all of humanity. I doubt Jett in the article singlehandedly introduced boars into the environment. You can't cherry pick what actions as a species you want to take credit for and what ones you don't. Again, you don't spill milk and expect to be celebrated for cleaning it up.
