Should have read Fate/Stay Night first. Or just waited for the forthcoming ufotable adaptation of Fate/Stay Night, THEN watched Fate/Zero. I suspect ufotable's adaptation will be able to wipe away Deen's F/SN from my memory entirely.
I really liked Fate/Zero though. It had minimal to no fan service, and it was actually an "adult" anime compared to most of the boob shows that come out each season. F/Z would be something I would show to people that think all anime is all hentai. (those people would probably just want to see the pretty battle scenes anyway.)
The aerial battle between Berserker and Archer was one of my favorite moments of that series.

t was actually an "adult" anime compared to most of the boob shows that come out each season. It's my gateway anime of choice for most people since it's much deeper and mature than anything that comes out of shonen jump and isn't unnecessarily dragged on for 800 episodes.

His flying machine was supposed to be a Vimana (or, alternatively, TypeMoon wiki link), a flying mythological palace that is talked about in a few Indian epics. As his gate contains the originals of all treasures on Earth, it is only natural he would have something like that.

Oh. Well now it makes sense.

I don't care that it didn't make sense, it was awesome.
