ability to produce amazing games
Well that funny ... because bungie themselves are now saying those past games were a "disastrous flaming turd of failure". Or is that just butthurt speak for "those games are no longer ours, so we hate them now, only our new games are worthy"? Not sure bungie will love you ... unless you buy Destiny (and preferably on a Playstation)
shit-colored glasses
Is that what prevent you from reading the link? (and I thought it was just your stupidity) The turd (or shit if that is your preferred phrase) was all bungies own words. Far too harsh in my mind - honestly can you put any more hate into a public statement than "disastrous flaming turd of failure"? And to wait this long ... that is a full seven years of bitterness built up in the same three clowns who are now developing Destiny. Bitterness and obviously shortsightedness. But here is YOUR change to prove yourself something other than A TROLL. Provide a link showing that bungie did not say these words, or at least retracted these statements. (rather than just posting shallow empty words - like the fool you have demonstrated thus far)

 •
The troll
You referring to USplendid or one of the bungie staffers? Suspect you refer to bungie and its bitter attack on the Halo brand. Maybe it could have been viewed as constructive (even if still a little harsh) if; 1) they had said so at the time (not 7 years later!!), 2) done something about those doubts; 3) done something to redeem themselves (free DLC for H2 owners); 4) not been releasing a new struggling game and wanting to damage Halo.

 • Bungie has always said that Halo 2 was terrible and it's a fact that Halo 2 is the worst Halo game to date. The only people who think that game is actually good are the children who started with Halo 2 and the baddies who sucked at Halo: CE.

 • I beg to differ, I started with CE and was quite good at it, but I still thoroughly enjoyed Halo 2. It wasn't the best Halo, but I don't think any one Halo stood out as awful, the all had their own pros and cons

 • Guess you have not seen all those anniversary docs ... sure H3 and Reach didn't get called a "turd", but the words "failure", "non-canon" and "directionless" did come out to play. The only game to escape bungies harsh critic was CE (and lets be honest, Gearbox did all the great word there). But to be honest, its all bungie butthurt designed to damage the Halo brand. After all they had plenty of time to do something about it before ... and yet, nothing.

 • I think it's Bungie humbling themselves and letting the community know they're aware of the mistakes they've made in the past. They're trying to say, "we know our other games of the past will not hold a candle to what we're preparing you for--come Sept. 9th"!
Bungie humbling themselves
Humble ?!? by calling a game which is now owned and managed by someone else a TURD ?? No, that's bitterness and jealousy. Its like watching an ex-boyfriend turn on a girl who he was with for 10 years, and then start calling her worthless and trying to damage her reputation once she decides to spit from him. That is not humble. Humble would be keeping your worthless opinions to yourself. After all you did NOTHING about it for all that time - and now when you have something to gain by damaging the brand !!
and letting the community know they're aware of the mistakes they've made in the past.
So this would by why they are saying sorry to past H2 owners ... xbox gamers ... by giving them some preference in the release of Destiny. Just one preference, anything to show that they are "aware of the mistakes". Perhaps; - early access to the Destiny beta. Nope, but playstation does. - extra in-game content. Nope, but playstation does. - early DLC release. Nope, but playstation does. So please tell us how they are "letting the community know". So far all we are seeing is a rather large F-YOU sign.

 • I agree. Looking back, they realize how far they've come, and with that knowledge it's hard to look at old things in light of the new and see them as "worthy". They are proud of their Halo series, they just want to do all the things they didn't do in Halo in Destiny
