Getting injected with a dormant strain of HIV that they say works "95%" of the time, slightly scares me. I don't have it right now and if I'm careful i will never contract it. I rather not take the injection.

Yes but if you contract HIV the vaccine cannot do you any good. It is preventative medicine, there is still a point of no return.
