Now, I'm no biology major, but wouldn't that be, like, most of what's in his head? If they take it out, will he just have a giant hollow spot in his head, or what?

Sorry for taking a while to get to you, it's been a busy time. The tumor does take up a heavy portion of his brain, and there is some damage. They honestly don't know for sure if they'll be able to surgically remove [i]all[/i] of the tumor, but they will take out as much as is "safely" possible. Honestly, the best possible outcome is that his brain will heal significantly over time and he'll "grow out of" the damage to it. I assume this means his cells will regenerate to the best of their abilities and other portions of his brain will take over the tasks that the damaged portion would usually handle. Due to the location of the tumor, it's entirely possible.
