I think the DS3 was/is fine. It's gonna hurt using L2/R2 to shoot instead of L1/R1...

Wut? When I boot up battlefront on my PS2, it takes me no time at all to get used to changing the button..
-
Meh. L1/R1 is used for nearly every FPS on PS3. Been using it for years. It takes time to change for me.
-
That's disgusting.
-
-
-
How is it going to be hard to get used to? It'll take you a day or two, max.
-
When the DS3 broke it sure took awhile to adjust to those 360-lik analog sticks.
-
About 2.5 months for me.
-
It's gonna take me awhile to adjust, too.
-
How?? Lol, I adjusted in a few minutes.. The triggers are so much better on the Xbox.

Edited by Hunter: 10/22/2013 3:14:04 AMI don't know, I'm just guessing here... I mean I've played with Xbox and Playstation controllers but I don't know if I'll adjust as fast. Is it really that comfortable on the DS4?
Is it really that comfortable on the DS4?
That's what reviewers seem to be saying.
-
I hope it's true.
-
They're just like xbox's. Some say better.
-
Edited by Hunter: 10/22/2013 3:22:47 AMOh, well then I guess I take back what I said, It may not be as hard to adjust as I thought.
-
At least you don't have to switch analog sticks. That's the tricky part for me. I hate xbox's analog placement.
-
Oh, really? You hate Xbox's stick placement? Most of the people I see love Xbox's placement of the sticks lol
-
They don't have both consoles.
-
Doesn't mean they haven't used any iteration of the DS controller.
-
It means its more biased.
-
Edited by Hunter: 10/22/2013 3:42:02 AMThat would explain it.

As someone who is use to a 360 controller, I'm relieved that Playstation finally converted over to triggers. It's silly they weren't there in the first place.
As someone who is use to a 360 controller, I'm relieved that Playstation finally converted over to triggers. It's silly they weren't there in the first place.
I disagree. Naturally you want to "pull trigger" with your index finger just like in real life, toy guns, squirt guns, imaginary or real guns. It makes more sense to use L1 R1 and have your middle fingers on standby at L2 R2 for grenades or whatever.
-
I hear what you are saying. That's the same counter-point that most fans of the DS3 make. It's a fair one. However, I think that after the adjustment period, the DS4 will make a believer out of everyone. Coming from my 360 experience (and before that my PS1/PS2/PS3 roots) the triggers are great. I have no doubt developers will adjust their controller schemes to maximize both the bumpers and the triggers potential.

That may be. But I've been using L1/R1 for years. Will be hard to change at first.
