Dammit I picked control but ingame I picked destroy. So I pretty much accidentally killed the Quarian's then killed the geth by choice.

  • You actually did that? Wow. 2 genocides in such a short time. Lol. Did you go back and fix save the quarians in a second play through?

turns out I missed a mission (The geth mind mission) and I lost legion in ME2 so either way the Geth was dead if I chose to save the Quarian's. I chose to save the geth because they where wronged by the warmongering Quarian's and deserved a chance to live.....until the ending pretty much forced me to kill them. Both genocide's made me upset as tali was my romance for my main character. (No redo's from ME1 straight though to ME3 I lived with my choices). My 2nd playthrough I was able to pinpoint my mistakes and fix them so I saved both but still ended up killing the geth as I couldn't pick synthesis or control until my 3rd playthrough. (Because I couldn't kill shepard and didn't see the other choices as a good thing) :(

  • I had to do that in Mass Effect 2. My first time I lost half of my squad because I failed to pay attention to my ship upgrades. I went through and played again and saved everyone so I could have the best ME 3 experience. I blew up the base, kept Legion, and 3 has been awesome so far.

  • Well I had all the ship upgrades I just sent some of the wrong people on the missions (Had simara and Jack die and Zaheed, didn't like them anyway) show as dead on the run back, but I skipped a geth upgrade and Legion got carried off by the wasps. Other than that it was a good experience since other than legion everyone else was negligible at best and not important. But having Tali die was a real surprise and I didn't see it coming for a moment and it saddened me, however I felt I made the right call due to the Quarian's actions in the past and at the present.
