Edited by iGraviton: 4/25/2013 2:50:39 AMWhat? CoD's gameplay is much faster than Halo's, but CoD is the one with ADS. Mind elaborating on why you think ADS slows gameplay down?

I imagine that the presence or absence of recharging Energy Shields has a bigger impact on gameplay speed than ADS :)

This.

ADS isn't why cod is faster. Halo takes more skill (or at least it did before 343 Industries), while cod has broken gameplay and things like instant respawn and faster kill times with less skill.
-
I don't think halo takes more skill. It's just a completely different playstyle where different tactics and techniques are rewarded. In cod it's easier to die so it takes a lot more skill to stay alive and less skill to kill, whereas in halo it's easier to stay alive and harder to kill. I personally think cod is a better game, especially if you ignore the flaws particular to cod and look just at the style and pace of play.

I didn't say it made CoD faster, I said it didn't contribute to making CoD slower. As for gameplay, I haven't play a Call of Duty game since MW2 so I'm not sure how broken the gameplay is at this point. I just remember from MW2 was a relatively balanced game, and that the speed of the game wasn't hindered at all by the presence of ADS.

Edited by Dylan is Grump: 4/25/2013 2:56:42 AMADS slows down player movement, and effectively defeats the purpose of strafing. where as in halo you can freely fire without slowing down and having to suffer accuracy loss. keep in mind call of duty has faster kill times and instant respawns.

I disagree with everything you said lol. I may be biased but clearly so are you.

True. Still, who says Destiny needs strafing? That's always been a feature that's more or less exclusive to Halo and other shooters with projectile based weapons. I'd like to see Bungie do something different. Regardless, it's more of an opinion based question rather than what's a better fit for the game.
