Well you're the most powerful nation in the world, our closest ally and the most backward developed nation, so the US is a country of great interest for us.
English
-
As if you're not backwards on a lot of things.
-
I said "most backward". I wasn't implying that the UK doesn't have issues, just not as many as the US.
-
I'd argue they have just as much.
-
We don't have 1% of the population in prison, we don't have school shootings, we don't teach creationism in schools, our mainstream media is not nearly as biased as that in the US, our mainstream politicians are not homophobic nor misogynistic and we have extensive public healthcare.
-
You do have more violence, though.
-
http://blog.skepticallibertarian.com/2013/01/12/fact-checking-ben-swann-is-the-uk-really-5-times-more-violent-than-the-us/ The UK has about 1.8 times as many violent crimes per capita, but the US has about 4 times as many murders per capita. I don't know about you, but I'd much prefer to be assaulted or -blam!- than murdered.
-
You're missing a lot of variables.
-
This isn't much of a response. For a valid argument, please be more specific.
-
Such as our problem with borders and drug cartels because of our horrific drug laws.
-
Those still contribute to violence. I don't see why murders etc. on account of those should account for less.
-
They'd be nonexistent if we got rid of unjust laws.
-
That argument is basically "violence in a country would be reduced if we got rid of the things causing the violence". No -Blam- !
