As disappointing as it was, I truly think it should go to Mass Effect 3. Expectations shouldn't come into play when comparing the greatness of games, and regardless of its flaws, ME3 was quite enjoyable.

I think ME is quite overrated, but 3 is the one I haven't played, and I don't see it being much different from the rest of the series, bar the ending.

Just as much changed between 2 and 3 as did between 1 and 2. Most people didn't like it, but I did.
