4 RepliesNot to state the obvious, but the Xbox guys seem to be overreacting pretty badly here--even from the point of view of someone who doesn't own a PlayStation. Look, I hate "exclusive content" as much as the next guy, but let's try to be reasonable here: Bungie was 360-exclusive for the past decade, probably against their will too. You should respect that they now have more flexibility with Destiny, not criticize the fine points you don't like. Plus, I imagine that the "exclusive content" will meet the same fate that I have seen with such offers in other games--it becomes pay-to-play DLC in the Xbox Marketplace a couple of months after the game's initial release. Finally, I have a difficult time believing that Bungie would truly alienate the 360 community in such a way. So yeah, the situation is less than optimal. But Bungie "stabbing Xbox users in the back"? Definitely not.

Before the original Xbox came out Bungie was a small independent studio that Microsoft saw some real promise and basically bought the company to make Halo exclusively for the Microsoft Xbox and Xbox 360...i.e...the years of 2001 to 2011. After that 10 year span Microsoft had rights to the Halo License and shifted the license to 343 studios which has many ex Bungie members to carry that torch. This was all apart of the deal to after the 10 years that Bungie would get it's freedom to be a independent developer again. You have to remember the hierarchy...studios make games and the publishers fund and sell them. Microsoft published Halo for its own console system. That's the only reason Halo was exclusive. Now Activision is the publisher for Destiny. They also publish Call of Duty...which is on every platform. Which means more money...more people playing...more DLC whether some is for xbox or ps3 or ps4 or whatever...who cares. All you ridiculous fanboys...who worry about not getting a skin pack...you are a child...Bungie does not make a world this expansive and awesome for you. Know your history. Read a book and for sake of humanity...grow up.
