People's opinions and stances have been shifted due to participation in debates on this site, including my own, so I feel that your accusation of "no progress" isn't very true.

"Shifted" does not mean "Significantly impacted." Though I've seen a couple of people on this site go from theist to atheist/agnostic, which I count as significant. I haven't undergone anything that crazy.
