Can't earn Twitch drops - Let me unlink my deleted Twitch account without authenticating it
I can't earn twitch drops because the linked twitch account is my old one which has been deleted. Neither me nor twitch can recover it. I would like to unlink it so I can link my new twitch account but can't do this because it's making me authenticate the deleted account.
I don't see why I need to authenticate my twitch account to remove it. When I unlinked it from epic games and battle net they didn't make me authenticate it. Please can you change how the system works for twitch accounts. I can't think of any security risk or risk of loss that would be introduced by allowing a twitch account to be unlinked without authentication, no game progress is attached to a twitch account and it wouldn't be anyones sole way of logging in.
Please pass this request on to whichever team works on the bungie accounts system.

Since the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]unlinking update[/url] from March 25th, 2025, only Twitch accounts are now eligible to be unlinked from Bungie profiles. All other platform accounts, once linked, are linked permanently. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Since the affected account is indeed a Twitch account and eligible to be unlinked, you will need to work with Twitch to recover it and then authenticate it for unlinking. If this cannot be done, then the account will remain linked to your Bungie account for the reasons stated above. There are no exceptions to this policy.
