Pls need Help! New Light quest “A Guardian Rises” stuck on step 12/21 – No Tower marker, Quest Archive empty
Hello guys and Bungie support,
my New Light quest “A Guardian Rises” is completely stuck and cannot progress.
Step: 12 of 21 – “Travel to the Tower”
Status in quest log: “Arrived at the Tower” is not updating, the objective remains Travel to the Tower.
No special mission node (Arrival/Advent) shows up on the Tower map – only the normal public Tower destination is available. When I land in the Tower, nothing triggers. I am always in the public Tower.
Quest Archive → “New Light” tab is totally empty, so I cannot abandon or re-acquire the quest.
I have tried:
Restarting the game and Steam client
Returning to Orbit and re-loading the Tower
Visiting the Quest Archive to abandon/re-acquire (nothing listed)
Nothing worked.
Could you please tell me what the problem is and maybe reset or re-add the quest step on my account?

It’s most likely a typical Bungie bug that they know about and haven’t fixed. Just being honest with ya.

You should see something on the map that says advent or something of the nature, blue icon. Try that

2 RepliesEdited by BetweenMyself: 9/13/2025 7:54:48 PMWhile you are hovering over the Quest in your Quest Tab, there should be a bit of text followed by the prompts [b]Track[/b], [b]Details[/b] and [b]Abandon[/b]. Press the button/key bound to the [b]Details[/b] option and check the details of the current Quest step described therein. At the bottom of the page there should be an option to [b]Launch[/b] the Activity which will be either highlighted in white if it can be selected or dimmed out in grey if it cannot. If it is lit up, try selecting the option to see if it puts you into the appropriate Tower instance. - If that option is either not available or does not work, I would suggest attempting to load into the Tower in two separate ways to see if either yields the desired result: • First by selecting the [b]Tower[/b] option on the right side of the [b]Portal[/b] tab screen • Secondly by paging over to the [b]World[/b] tab, selecting the [b]Destinations[/b] screen if need be, and selecting the [b]Tower[/b] icon at the center of the screen. - Hopefully one of these will work out for you.
