I, quite frankly, don't care about pvp. You can make any argument you want for pvp.
A high weapons stat in pve gives you more ammo drops. There is no reason Not to run at high of a weapons stat as your build allows in pve. With the right build, you can literally primary secondary ammo weapons.
I like that. Leave pve out of your pvp complaints.

Damage wise surges still offer more, so I don't see the value of the weapons stat in pve.
-
If you had actually read my comment, you'd have noticed that i didn't say anything about damage. It's about ammo.
-
When I play I run double primary so why would I care about ammo? Hence why I said "I don't see the value" not that it has no value.
-
Double primary ??!!
-
Malfeasance, breakneck, the title, and hierarchy of needs are what I ran when I last played. That isn't to say I won't use specials, but none of the ones I have mesh as well with my builds or cover the niches I need.
-
Aw hell nah, would rather have double special
-
Glad to see we have different opinions and preferences. Is there anything else you want to say about my playstyle?
-
Yea, seems very boring to play since you have to just plink away.
-
Very assuming since you know nothing about the rest of my builds.
-
Yes. Double primary in 2025 is insane
-
Do you have some complex that makes it so you can't fathom some one not being a meta slave? Because you keep repeating different variations of the same brain dead take.
-
I can’t, addicted to fish in the sea.
-
Ahh yes, you don't care to ever use your heavy. Good for you. For the rest of us who actually play the game, having ammo for damage phases is at least mildly important.
-
I guess being snide brings you some kind of self-validation? Because all I shared was my opinion without invalidating yours. In the future maybe try to read text without bias and you can have more meaningful conversations. 🤷♂️
-
Being snide has nothing to do with self validation, and everything to do with pointing out how your attempts to move the goalposts to validate your own opinion when i point out the flaw in your reasoning. You make make the case for pvp to be balanced differently. My original point is to explicitly separate the two, so whatever changes people want in pvp after getting stomped by someone else doesn't affect those of us in pve. We've had a decade of that already. I don't want more.
-
I don't play pvp, so what delusions are you on about. Do you not realize some people like using double primary in pve?
-
And yet, you still have a heavy slot. The original post was specific to pvp. If that argument regarding the weapons stat doesn't apply to you, then why are you even replying? Something tells me that the person quick to criticize me being snide about you forgetting that people bricks exist is just looking for an argument.
-
If the thread is about pvp, then why did you respond about pve? Aren't you yourself moving the goalpost by transitioning from talking about special ammo to heavy ammo? Quite the hypocrite you are. Also heavy weapons and by extension ammo can serve many different purposes and playstyles. Outside of boss fights I always have plenty of time to pickup more bricks for rockets, grenades, or linears. I'm not spamming the stuff every second I can. If you think this is an argument, I imagine you have never had a civil discussion before. The reason I called you out for being snide is because I prefer civility in my conversations over pettiness when someone doesn't echo my opinions. You may benefit from some self-reflection.
-
I definitely do think that it is an argument to separate debate about the weapons stay between pvp and pve. I'm also not super interested in the opinion presented by someone who apparently has never cleared a raid, and thus literally has no idea what ammo economy is like under those circumstances. I'm even less likely to consider your opinion when you've clearly barely played since the changes have been made, as indicated by your account progress. So yes, you're only here to try to argue.
-
If those are your thoughts then let's end this discussion here, because for some reason you think raid completions (which less than a fifth of the player base has done) is a measure of whether someones opinion is valid in a non-raid thread. You are the only one insisting this was an argument like you have something to prove, so have a great time continuing to think that 😊.

I am speaking directly to how, with the elimination of ammo scout mods, a high weapons stat is needed to ensure you have enough ammo for damage phases. The original post was a complaint about the author's perceived issues with the weapons stat in pvp. I countered with how it is important in pve, and to not cause yet Another pve nerf due to pvp whining. You, Mr double primary, decided to chime in with an effectively useless opinion, as you clearly don't play the game to the level that either the op or I play. You're a super casual. 90% of the game doesn't matter to you. You are free to run around and do what you want, because at the level of difficulty you're choosing to play at, none of this matters. And I'm saying this as a self described casual myself. If you never step out of anything higher than patrol level difficulty, then of course your opinion regarding how mechanics affect endgame activities isn't going to be taken seriously.
