Hyperbolic. I don't like the bonus either. But comparing it to sunsetting is not accurate.

Well, technically it is not sunsetting the way they did it before by locking its i-level. They are in fact making all your old gear useless via new gear perks and bonuses. Who in their right mind is going to play old gear when new gear is significantly better? Answer: NO ONE!!!! They are not turning gear off like they did before, but they are in effect making it obsolete. So in a way it is sunsetting.
