easy fix : double their ammo reserves as somebody who often uses shotguns in pve, its the only special weapon type that basically forces you to use 1 bullet per ennemy (and often more than one) while i can use a fusion to clear multiple ennemies in one shot, same for glaunchers (and lets not talk about the ammo economy of rocket sidearms and trace riffles) only snipers have the same issue, but they are another problem pve wise tbh (and yes ik about combos like discord + destabilizing rounds, but it doesnt solve the shotgun problem)

  • Shotguns and fusions aren’t for add clear lol. Those are rocket sidearms or area denials. You can use them for major burst dmg with trench

  • Wanna see me nuke rooms with a fusion riffle ? Rocket sidearm are too slow to add kill for me. They are perfect for things like gms. But in dungeons, raids (and even gms) fusions are so much versatile. Shotguns arent for add clear tough. But considering their dmg they also arent for dps or beefy targets.

  • Fusions are super inefficient on add clear. One good one I can think of is the seasonal one with discord and res burst. Rocket sidearms have insane splash perks like destab but I will say that ammo can be an issue if your abilities aren’t add clearing. Therefore I would use an area denial instead

  • most fusions are insanely good at add clearing lmao try any fusion with reservoir burst or destab rounds and use it correctly X) ive been clearing waves of ennemies in raids, ultimatum dungeons, master contents and gms for a very long time they are better at clearing a group of add than rocket sidearms also and can easily deal with beefy targets (im not roasting rocket sidearms they are very good and versatile, but they dont make fusions bad either) as for area denial, they lack the "instant killing" aspect and are terrible for single target dmg

  • Reservoir burst still needs you to reload after each shot. If the adds aren’t grouped close enough you will have to spend 1 shot per enemy which sucks which is the same issue with spending 1 shot per enemy when using a shotgun. Compare this to a good add clear gun such as a rocket sidearm where you can still one shot them and it has way more shots in reserve. Fusions are easy to use which makes them good for day 1s. Area denials aren’t good for single target dmg because they are mainly add clear guns. You can use it for boss dmg but that is mainly for reloads or bolt charge.

  • If ennemies arent grouped you can just flick and get them all with a fusion I am way more effective at add clearîg in the echtar ultimatum room with my fusion than my tinasha tbh. And reservoir burst fusions + subsistence / overflow/ ambitious assasin / etc.... are a thing. Or even holster. On a godroll fusion you rarely have to reload for redervoir burst.
