Ghost and Spire are fine choices since their weapons aren't enhancable.
Prophecy is a bad choice. I get that it's thematic for next season, but we literally JUST got a reprise of the weapons right before final shape.
Shattered throne would be a no go for me since we already have a bunch of versions of dreaming city weapons
Pit would be an okay choice since the weapons have never been relevant, but honestly, I don't think anyone would care about apostate, blasphemer, heretic, or premonition
Grasp of avarice would be a good choice. People like eyasluna more than Judgment, hero of ages would probably be meh, matador could easily get the same rolls as the prophecy SG would, and 1000 yd would probably also be meh
Duality is in my opinion the best choice, the weapons are well liked, unforgiven and stormchaser were both very popular picks at some point, lingering dread is okay, and the pulse is pretty much equivalent to the prophecy strand pulse

Before a Shattered Throne reprisal happens, it needs unique drops. They could be literally anything queen themed or reef/awoken related, and I don't imagine it would be that hard to implement: Vestian Dynasty, No Turning Back, Her Courtesy, The Dreamwaker. Four easy options, and there are many others, but the system hasn't been implemented yet, and probably won't be for a long time. Before a Pit reprisal happens, the weapons need to be decoupled from Moon patrol. This means the Alters chest has to drop basically nothing, or has to drop regular Moon weapons. If you change that system, you should go ahead and improve it, which means a Moon loot reprisal. I doubt old destinations will see any kind of permanent updates until Bungie have exhausted all other marketing tactics and have nothing new to add to the game.

I think Her Mercy would probably be better than no turning back. I had to Google that one to remember what it was.

it doesn't make any difference to me. Even if Bungie created some new weapons with glowy awoken stuff, or taken awoken stuff, or the old blue quality Queen's Wrath weapons, or whatever, anything that fits the theme and refreshes the loot pool would be better than what we have.

Agreed. Id love to see some of the old Variks weapons like soulstealer's claw make their way into the game too. Though those would be more fitting for a fallen activity.
-
I would've loved to see Duality weapons reprised, but can you imagine the horror of matchmade newbies learning how the Bells work? Plus I don't think they ever fixed the bug with the Bells killing folks randomly, and I doubt they could fix it if they tried anymore.

Edited by Westbrook: 5/14/2025 10:31:29 PMSpire is a horrific choice because literally all of the weapons are terrible. Perk changes can't fix bad frames. The weapons are just bad frames. So now we've wasted an entire slot for ROTN, for a dungeon that has weapons no one will use anyway even after the updates because shocker! They're still terrible.

The gl was a staple in gl rotations and is now very good, the sidearm with attrition desperado or whatever you want is multimach in stasis flavor. The other two weapons are bad but spire does have things that are good now.
-
The GL is nothing special compared to what we have now so there's no reason to get it. The sidearm again, nothing special compared to what we have now so there's no reason to get it. Who is going to drop multimach with attrition kinetic tremors (which was given out for FREE so literally everyone has it), for a stasis sidearm you need to do a dungeon for??? It doesn't even help with stasis builds if you're just going with attrition desperado lmao.

Literally clueless but go ahead keep on its funny.

I do agree with you about Pit of Heresy, and I know it probably would not have happened. But they could have looked at completely changing the weapon archetypes, elements, And given us brand new perks.
