Here's a crazy question for all you who jumped on that preorder for Edge of Faith after barely five minutes of content being shown. You regretting your purchase? Because I guarantee you, Bungie being vague and stretching out content will not change once Edge comes out.

  • Zero regrets. I love a game that isn't perfect. It's ok. I paid 80 for Ultimate and I am certain the return will match the outlay. The trick they missed was they could have made the game properly and charged double.

  • No regrets, I got my pre-order bonus then canceled my pre-order. Been doing that for years lol to get free stuff.

  • Why would I regret my purchase over a free event? Time gating has been a thing since D1 and you expect any different from Bungie?

  • Yea, currently waiting on a refund of my money because I already wanted to leave after FS but stayed because I already paid for the year; decided to buy EoF because my friends said they'd play. After realizing that Bungie will never change their timegating tactics. I've spent hundreds of dollars on this game and have literally missed so much for it. This isn't worth it. No sniper is worth it. No Star Wars ornament is worth it. I await impatiently for my refund.

They did try and change the time gating, and everyone b*tched about getting through things so quickly. You also clearly did find it worth pre-ordering or else you wouldn't have in the first place. Just because your friends said they are getting it doesn't mean you couldn't wait until either right before it launched or right after it did

(and i can’t stress this enough) THEY GIVE US NOTHING IN RETURN. I refuse to continue to play a game that I have to CONTINUOUSLY pay to play, meanwhile I can hop on Doom, or MC, or Warframe, or ANY OTHER GAME that only requires 1 base game payment.

Seems you didn't realize that you clearly didn't think. You also apparently don't realize that game companies have to make money, so yeah, naturally, every paying player is just another dollar in their pocket. I can definitely say bungie probably loves people like you more when you buy things just to either not play or use what you paid for or to just attempt to get a refund. Most of the time, those refunds don't happen if you wait too long or have played or used enough of what you paid for.
yes they did change it up for ONE season (episode whatever) but the complaints weren’t from it being done so quickly, but from the LACK OF CONTENT we had in between Acts.
No, those complaints definitely were from things being done too quickly. It's the whole reason why people figured out that if you don't have a set amount you can do each week and having them remove the unnecessary back forth parts, then naturally, everything will be done quicker. If there's no reason to come back every week, then people won't. That's why that season had the quickest player drop in between Acts and other content releases.
and yea I will complain all day about that because 1. they could’ve improved other parts of the game.
They can't improve everything simultaneously. Certain things have to be made a priority, and clearly, you're just upset that your wants weren't their main concern.
2. they chose to not release any details of Rite of the Nine before reset because they KNEW people wouldn’t like it.
I doubt that's the reason why. Could they have said at any time that it was on a 3 week cycle? Sure. Are they required to give constant updates while providing a bunch of other information to the point that something as minor as this falls through? F*ck know. You aren't owed anything in regards to a free event that will be around up until the launch of the next dlc. Go play something or try living a real life instead of revolving every waking minute around the game.
3. (and i can’t stress this enough) THEY GIVE US NOTHING IN RETURN.
This has been proven false time and time again. Just because they don't give you what you want and cater to all your needs doesn't mean nothing is given. Acting like these people who work on any game for any company somehow aren't human and can't make any sort of mistake definitely says that you need to get some help. Everyone can make mistakes or forget to say or bring something up. I mean, clearly, your mistake was spending money and time on a game just to cry about it. No one was ever forcing you to play any game or spend money on any game, and yet you still did.
I refuse to continue to play a game
Good then, don't. Any game that has those who constantly whine and complain about things in leaving is better for anyone who still plays.
that I have to CONTINUOUSLY pay to play,
So most games nowadays then. Enjoy the single-player only games, I guess. At least there are some good ones either out or coming out for you.
meanwhile I can hop on Doom, or MC, or Warframe, or ANY OTHER GAME that only requires 1 base game payment.
Then go and do that. No one was ever stopping you, just like how no one was ever forcing you to pay and play destiny. Why does it seem like so many people, mainly destiny players, think that they were ever being forced or locked into playing only 1 game all the time? The door has always been there, and it's never been locked, let alone shut. You made the choice to let a single game rule your life and wallet, and you still clearly haven't broken free from it because your still here, heavily invested in something you claim your done with.

  • The only downside to the pre-order that I see is that you have to wait until December to finish the looks for the ornaments you get for doing so.

  • Out of curiosity, what spoke to you about EoF or generally the year of prophecy? I personally didn’t dislike what was shown but didn’t observe enough to justify preordering.

  • Not the person you asked, but generally, there isn't much of a reason to pre-order something. It definitely does just break down to personal choice, but the only benefit to doing so is simply getting things early. If I decide to buy it, I'll most likely do it the week before, which will still give me the pre-order benefits.
