When it comes to those plates, you need to face the rune and follow the direction. Even though you were going backwards, you were going backwards in the wrong direction.

Hello again, Thanks for this footage. If you stand on the platform the blight covered up, and then look at the barrier behind it, you should see a green rune appear. If you wait for this rune to fully appear, and then walk backwards while keeping your point of view on the rune, does anything happen?
