Hey there, no this is not possible. Your characters are tied to the XBox account on which they were created, all progress and inventory, etc. There is no way to transfer this progress to Steam, only to do what you are already doing, sharing it to Steam through cross-save. But if cross-save was cancelled, the characters would become inaccessible on Steam.

Also would there be anyway to make steam the primary account on bungie so I can be put into the steam leaderboards instead of the Xbox leaderboards for like destiny tracker and things like that. Or would that be a no aswell since my account was made on Xbox.

Steam is just being used as a way to log into your XBox account, so you always count as an XBox player for sites like that. There's no way to toggle this to something else.

Dang, really. I guess I can just make him a new Xbox account. Prolly the only thing to do since I only play on pc now instead of Xbox. Thank you for the clarification.
