Until Bungie stop pigeonholing every gun into 'archetypes', the meta will always be like this, or they'll nerf 340s and everyone will move onto the next archetype. We need unique weapons with unique stats, fire rates etc. Not just 'oh, another 340 pulse rifle,' or 'another 140 HC.' We know what the meta is and always will be because every gun is predicatable. I don't know any other game that's managed to make weapons as boring as Bungie has somehow managed.
