Give console players a way to turn off "Online" text chat pings
Please give console players a way to turn off the text chat pings for people coming online or at the *very* least please put a way shorter timer on the text chat box disappearing for those kinds of pings. I literally can't see my stats in character menu or "end of activity" results at all when people come online
*Edit for clarity: swapped "PS" for "console" since this seems to be an issue on Xbox too. I know PC players have a blank box at the bottom of their Social Settings menu to turn this off, but this box doesn't exist for console players. While turning off Text Chat entirely would "solve" this, it then prevents me from sending/receiving [i]actual[/i] messages in chat.

Edited by papaRIW: 10/13/2024 1:15:50 PMThere is a setting on PS5 to disable notifications when friends go online. Not on the console at the moment but it did help. I did also turn off Bungie chat.

In my case, I only get to see the players name. I wish I could disable it.

I have text chat turned off on my PS5 and was getting the notiifcation on logging in, or changing character, to turn it on. So I did. Now I just get a different notification. Bungie in a nutshell.

I believe the last option that is blank covers this, just press across on it once and it should work.
